I live in a small town in Idaho. BLM tried coming here to protest in our small downtown. There were at least 50+ people armed with rifles, black and white. Cops were ok with it and were hanging out with the people. BLM stopped their busses at the edge of town and turned around. 😂

@@MrMadmanUSA I call BS. Your podunk town wouldn't have anything people would want anyway. The Nazis calling themselves Patriot Front tried to start sh!t in Couer d'Alene and were promptly arrested. Try that in a big city! Idaho is basically Mississippi in the PNW. Their schools are failing (Priest River) and in Sandpoint, all the OB/GYN doctors have left because of the religious fanatics trying to persecute them. North Idaho College is in danger of losing it's accrediation due to mismanagement. The only thing saving Idaho from total collapse is Washington providing jobs in Spokane. Northern Idaho doesn't even have it's own airport, it's dependent on Spokane for it's economy, since jobs in Idaho are scarce and don't pay as well as in Washington.

150% correct. I live in a small town of 2,000. Last murder? 1981. Two thugs driving from city to city robbed and killed an older person. They were not even from here. People wave and say hello, regularly. If you did that ignorant stuff in my town? Your in serious trouble. We obey and respect the law and our neighbors. Guys I lived in Europe for four years. My second home Holland. I love Holland. Europeans come to the United States and they go to New York City Los Angeles, etc. why? I’ll never know I’ve been there to go to a Broadway show but one nights enough Los Angeles is a cesspool. You guys get here in the country where we live you would find a whole different world of people and kindness.

Some Cities allow for anything, in others the values differ greatly - I remember when there were "Occupy" riots tearing up every city, when kids in Oklahoma City did it it was a quiet, peaceful protest then they went home because they knew that in Oklahoma they would not get away with the things being done in cities like New York or Seattle - everyone would have beaten the holly hell out of them and they knew it.

Another great review guys. Large cities in the U.S. too often have a reputation for high crime rates and leniency toward criminals who continue to offend time after time. Country music has changed a lot since I was young. Seems like anyone who sings with a southern accent while putting on a cowboy hat and boots can wear the country label. Some modern country sounds okay, but it just doesn't have the same original sound to me. I do like this song. He did a great job a telling it like it is.

Small or even medium sized towns are completely different than living in a city of any size. I like to visit cities now and again but I could never live in one. Too many humans in one place at one time 😅. I assuming that this small town mentality isn't only indigenous to the US. I'm guessing that there are plenty of small towns in the UK and other places where there is a similar attitude. This is a hybrid of rock and country music. I'm sure there is an official name of a sub genre for it. This sound of country has been around starting in the late 90s. You are correct that country music has several sub genres within it. This could possibly lean towards outlaw country but personally I wouldn't put in that catagory. You guys would probably enjoy his songs Dirt Road Anthem and Fly Over States. A different artist that I would place in Outlaw Country is Hardy(his full name is Michael Wilson Hardy). He was a writer for other singers for years and more recently began doing his own songs. The first song should be Wait in the Truck with the official video. It is a stunner in more than one aspect. I think Phil might soon end up suddenly going missing....😂😅 Make sure you guys have a good alibi. 😮😂

@jameshawkins2984 Yup, Randy Travis is a prime example of a Country Music artist! I grew up with my mom listening to the full range of Country Music from old-school Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard to Hank Williams Jr and the like, leaning towards more of an Outlaw Country sound. Then we both listened to some Country Music through the early 2000s. Even during that time frame, it became more Country Pop, which I'm not as a rule fond of. There are exceptions to that, ones like Hardy, Chris Stapleton, and Jelly Roll. The guys have done some reactions to Jelly Roll and Chris Stapleton. I love Blues and Southern Rock, along with Rock, Hard Rock, and Heavy Metal music also!! Question: I think I'm remembering correctly that you are in Florida? @@kylemccullough3495 In 2020 3 unarmed Black people were executed by cops and former law enforcement. We were in the middle of a worldwide pandemic and we were dealing with a bloodthirsty presidential election season. That summer the hatred and divisiveness in our country came to the boiling point and exploded. I don’t condone that type of behavior but I understand it. We haven’t had riots like that in 3 years. Aldean’s original video has clips from the BLM and Antifa riots that were cut. Why would he make a song about something that hasn’t happened in 3 years and won’t happen unless cops begin summarily executing Black people again. He’s blowing a racist dog whistle and y’all don’t even care. I notice he didn’t talk about the riots and the attempted insurrection on Jan 6th. The people that pearl clutch over the 2020 riots try to justify what happened on Jan6th, 2021. That’s not acceptable either. Or are you one of those that thinks Jan 6th was either fake or no big deal? The hypocrisy from a certain faction of this country is stunning.

Aldean would be considered a country singer, but this song is far from being real country. Today's country music is a mix of country, pop, rock, rap, whatever. If you want REAL country check out George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, or go even further back to Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Johnny Cash. Good message in this song, though.

No, just… no. I get that you feel obligated to jump on the bandwagon and react to this “anthem” because everyone has put in their two cents, but seriously? I don’t need to know the opinions of two Brits over an American song that is fraught with meaning, innuendo, and symbolism regarding our ugly past (and unfortunately our current confrontational present). This song is LOADED with “dog whistles.” The whole controversy is purely ABOUT *dog whistles.* And to understand what they mean is to know American history DEEPLY… not the casual “…oh, I know what they are talking about”, superficial understanding of our past. What are *“dog whistles?”* They are like “Easter eggs” that people look for in present day movies, but their intention is sinister. Actual dog whistles are of such a high frequency that only dogs can hear them. So too, proverbial *“dog whistles”* are meant only for those who understand their coded messaging. They provide a certain sense of “plausible deniability” in their hidden meanings and you’ll see that ALL OVER this comment section. This song was INTENTIONALLY written with TONS of *dog whistles* that reveal the ugly underbelly of America’s white supremacy and blatant (but well hidden) racism. I suggest you realize that the claims that this is merely a patriotic song that we all agree with is spoken from either ignorance or evil intent. 😕
