We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.
-
THANK YOU ❗️

Japanese are very polite. But this area in Osaka is mainly tourists from southeast asia. Native Japanese avoid this area. Even a lot of the people working the food stalls are foreigners. So the people bumping into him were most likely Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese or Filipino.

Sam acts exactly how my mom would when we're in a different country! I mean yeah, for us it's rude when people rush or shove. But to them, I think we're the ones that are actually rude by standing in the middle of a busy street. I believe for the locals, efficiency is key. I just remind my mom & myself that we're the ones visiting another country & probably don't know any better. Anyway, I love the video! Been binge-watching your content for the past week and digging it so far!

@Saturn Sounds fucking dumb if you are going to use the reason "aint no laws against it" to justify disrespecting a culture. Since when were there laws for CULTURE? And then further justifying that thousands of people watch his videos, so the locals shouldn't get pissed off that he's blocking a walkway? LOL FUCKING RUDE. What kind of entitlement do you even need to have to even make such an argument? You don't like that Japan hates inconsiderate people, then don't visit Japan. Don't fucking tell Japan to make do and suck it up. What a joke.

Sam, I enjoy your vids but c’mon, learn something about Japanese culture before acting like a DB. I know some of it is your schtick but as Japanese-American originally from Osaka you acting like you own the GD street is just wrong. The people of Kansai are more assertive than those in Kanto (Tokyo), so you may have experienced a little of that but standing in the middle of Doutonbori on a weekend and not expecting to be bumped into is naive. I believe the people of Japan are some, if not the most, hospitable in the world. They’re polite and patient unlike yourself. Safe travels and please do your best not to embarrass us.

I really enjoy your videos filmed at home but I think you need to consider that Japan isn't an amusement park for foreigners to put a camera in their face, get in people's way and complain that they aren't catering to your requirements to get the right shot. It's really disrespectful and Japan has been taking this shit from foreigners for years and it's just not right. We need to do better. I hope you read all of these comments and reflect on them. Thank you for all that you do.

I've been living in Japan for 10 years and I cringed hard seeing this. I don't know if this is because he thinks he is a huge celeb? Just saying, IMO, you shouldn't stand and record in the middle of the street. You can't expect people to not walk in front of you if it's meant for people to walk. People should not be thanking you just because you let them walk since you're obstructing the path for walking. I get that Asian people aren't the friendliest (being one myself), but I don't see why you felt the need to complain about that. With all that said, just do your thing on the side so you can record in peace. I love your videos so I hope I don't come off as a "hater". Bryan J its not a rule in life or law that says you must walk on a walkway at all times. People like you are the reason whats wrong with this world you fool. Youre being judgmental and not letting a person live freely if you have to dictate what you think is right or wrong from a person standing and eating. Dont not judge, or you too will be judged. Theres only 10 rules in life and standing in the middle of a walkway is not breaking any. What you think is polite or not polite is irrelevant in life. You just weren’t raised right kid. Thats a judgement call i can assure by your words.

Moreso, the people actually working (like the guy pushing the trolley) actually needs to use the road. You could have picked a nice spot with a nice background, gone to the side a bit, found a bridge, or literally anything else rather than stand smack in the middle of the road. I only want to comment about this because I noticed in the last Japan video, you did the same and someone else commented the exact same. That gives you the right to stand in the middle of walkways and film, while blocking hundreds of people that pass by the busy areas? There's something called awareness and consideration, and then there's something else called ignorance and rude. Just because it's hard to make a video doesn't mean shit. Also, he blocked multiple walkways many a times. Don't fucking act as if you won't be annoyed if someone else did that while you were walking too. Inconveniencing others is as selfish as it sounds.
