This series is a little bit of a retarded expectation of what people "just" keep in their pantry/fridge (also does nothing to feed a family of five.) Also, incredibly unhealthy to keep you going throughout the day. If you are 21 and live off of beer, bong rips and this... you will be okay until you get scurvy.

I lost my wife almost 5 years ago so it’s been me and my son ever since. I was never a great cook, but I was ok. I started watching your channel about 2 months ago so I have a shitload of catching up to do. But my son and I have tried a lot of your recipes together and it’s brought us so much joy that we really haven’t felt in a long time. Thank you for these videos.

@samthecookingguy Sam I love it! Love all your stuff. Me being 2nd gen Italian American I grew up on frittatas, especially what my mom and grandma use to call the left over frittata! It had everything left over in the fridge in it from pasta to veggies and meats. They were always unreal. Now they always did it the old fashioned way which is the way I always do it. As the eggs and additions start to cook a little turn down the heat keep skimming the sides so they stay released from pan. When is set up enough put a plate over the pan and flip the frittata onto the plate then slide it slowly back into the pan to cook the other side. To me it gives a much better texture to the egg. I know you love different methods and hope you try this and yes the fucks will fly when the center accidentally sticks etc but that’s all the fun!! Keep up the great work and after all this lockdown ends I can’t wait to get out to San Diego and try your new place!

My fiancé and I have been fully quarantined since February (I have West Nile, lupus, and about 10,000 other plagues) and I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO COOK. Like, I have to concentrate on goddamn cup o noodles directions. Since I’ve started watching you I have SUCCESSFULLY made about 10 dishes so far and you’ve made it not terrifying for me. It means the world. Once money starts being made again, I’m saving up for your knife set (what I’m using rn is basically one step above plastic cutlery lol 🤦‍♀️) Just wanted to thank you for making these tutorials available, giving me something other than the news to concentrate on, show how to utilize different frozen/pantry/leftover foods, and keeping my fiancé from starving to death. I was thinking 315 minutes was too long for a frittata, then around minute 187 the oven blew up. Don’t know how yours came out so perfect.

In Hawaii, they make a Spam fried rice. They start by marinating the Spam in a soy sauce and sugar mixture. Then when they fry the Spam with the rice it gets all caramelized and delicious. Make Max try that. It's the best way to eat Spam.

My first Sam The Cooking Guy recipe was the boneless ribeye - I tried it a year ago and now I’m an avid viewer! Firstly Sam inspired me to buy a cast iron set and it has dramatically improved my cooking. They are cheap and massively effective in conducting heat so you get a nice crust on your proteins and char on your veggies. Sam makes everything simple and delicious. I love the way he creatively combines flavors. He simplifies otherwise complicated recipes whilst casually educating the audience in basic culinary skills. Every week I now look for the latest recipe. Since this quarantine my wife and I have had nothing to do but go for runs and cook. 75% of our household meals are inspired by Sam’s videos. THANK YOU SAM AND SON for continuing to produce these videos. My confidence in the kitchen is has increased exponentially thanks to you and your team! Keep up the good work. When all this blows over I look forward to coming to your restaurants.

Great videos Sam! Thought I should let you know a "Toad in the hole" in the UK is a few sausages cooked inside a savoury pancake batter - like a big Yorkshire Pudding, if that makes sense? Your 'egg in a bread' is known as 'Chicken on a raft' in some parts of the UK - mainly coastal districts!! Keep up the great work :)

I agree with you. And while I get that some people call this "Toad in a Hole", it does refer to the sausage baked with Yorkshire pudding batter. I've never heard of "Chicken on a Raft", and perhaps there is a reference I don't understand yet. I do know that it is referred to as "Egg in a Basket". Both are amazing dishes when done to your preference.

My mom used to do a scrambled version of this with hotdogs and diced leftover French fries. Always served with ketchup... I'd forgotten about it until watching this! It's now on my menu.

Love the toilet back cover plate thingy, its a nice touch.
