I think he meant to say Chow ta, which means burnt. Chow chor means not fresh

Today I learn あらまあ!! has similar meaning to Alamak

Japan don't have Hainanese Chicken Rice. That is why Japanese love chicken rice. The chef reinvent Japanese food with local integration. Very interesting

definitely have to try skewer - the fusion looks affordable. You would think ngoh hiang in fusion restaurant will be $20. Definitely have to try that when i come back.

Saw this video and went to the skewer bar. Pity I spent more than 40 on the draft beer but it only start from May then can redeem. Nice recommendation for the skewer bar. Hope u can recommend similar place like tat in future video.

Ahah otak tamago is rather common in my household. We even make it as chawanmushi too, or if we are lazy, we steam eggs with cubes of otak dropped into it.

Literally just visited The Skewer Bar. Unfortunately, contrary to the information on Google Map, at 5pm only bar is open. The restaurant opens only at 6pm. Left disappointed.

純粋な和食とは言い難いけど確かに斬新なのは斬新な料理ばかりやね。けど値段はかなり高そう。

Maybe Singapore is a cosmopolitan city… local flavours of the Chinese, Malay, Indian as well as the Italian, French, Mediterranean, Persian styles give rise to many new ideas being born from the traditional preparations. And not being native Japanese helps, so the chefs wouldn’t be stifled by traditional ideas, but infusing their own thoughts and ideas on ingredients while maintaining the traditional outlook of the dishes… having said that, there are many very traditional Japanese eateries around so I think overall it’s a fantastic blend of traditional and Neo-fusion selections
