Very nice and kind of you to explain it here. Feel bad that you couldn't try most of the food. But guess what? I can't have them too... I have shellfish allergy, so I can't have seafood with shells (like shrimp, lobster. crab. scallops, clams)

Sho doesn’t only speak Singlish. His gestures are also like your quirky platoon mate’s.

Sho-san sus, confirm Japanese or not??? HAHAHA.. I love how confident everyone is when speaking English, I work in a Japanese company and some of them are just really too shy to try speaking and we end up speaking Japanese. Like how Sho-san said we are able to switch as when we need hahaha (just watch Singaporeans suddenly speak with accent in whatever country they're in to blend in) I think we are all pretty proud of Singlish.

Sho is right 😂 I switch between casual singlish with friends who are singlish speaking too but at work, I speak proper english and even overseas, I “upgrade” my english accordingly .. that said I also “downgrade” my singlish standard to match my group of friends 😎 Depending on how chinese speaking they are, I also start to include any amount of chinese in my english Also wanna say, poor Sho, he hardly ate much of any of the food showcased in this episode 😂

Yep if I am talking to a foreigner I will try not to use any slang or lah/leh/lor and enunciate a bit clearer.

Yep, me watching this after midnight. N as usual, so much delish foods make me hungry sigh. I don't know the name of the young lady, but she speaks good English without Japanese accent! Awesome 👍. As for sho San, yah I also wonder whether he's Japanese or not (lol). He speaks so like a SGrean and he's funny or rather Ghib san is funny to put in our prime minister's name. That was a good "catch" there. Ahh... I see now there's a camera man. So wifey no need to help w. the camera and is now "promoted" to become the "consultant" on SG culture, lol. Sho's Singlish accent is rather strong. Possibly because he has been here for 4 years and has a SG girlfriend. Akari has a very strong American accent. Hindi's hard. I amazed that she's studying that. I have a feeling that Ryo may want to migrate here for good. Poor Sho. The only thing he could eat was tofu. Ghib should have checked for any food allergies that they might have before the shoot and request for something more palatable for everyone.

Local Indian Singaporeans speak Tamil actually, not Hindi. It's because most of their ancestors came from Tamil Nadu. (There are also Gujaratis, Malayali, Chettairs etc, but the majority came from Tamil Nadu and so Tamil is their Mother Tongue by default.) So if the girl wants to speak Hindi she should find some India Indians because they are more likely to speak Hindi. Anyway I recommend the girl sit in on the lectures for the Singapore Studies module on South Asians in Singapore (if they are still teaching it nowadays). You can just sit in the LT and listen in without registering. I learnt quite a lot about our local Indians when I took it.

Totally NOT. I suggest you go and KZread look for videos of thick Chinese accent speaking English. It sounds NOTHING like Singapore accented English. In chinglish they are even unable to pronounce one syllabic words like “bug”, in one syllable LOL the Chinese would say Bag-Ke (two syllables) when they try to say bug. Hahahahah and so funny go and watch videos of chinglish before you daydream that chinglish is like singlish

Sho explaining how Singaporeans can actually codeswitch (which many foreigners don't know about), but his only English is the Singlish. Rip. Hahahaha.

Do not be deceived. The crab portions you see in the video are not the crab sizes they serve for the 3 Crab Bundles. The video shows you crabs about 1kg big but the website indicates in fine print the crabs are only 500g big. I've ordered from 8 Crabs about 3 times in the past and each time, I am very disappointed with their miserable portions. Shrunken crabs, 3 spoonfuls of kang kong, tiny tofu, etc. Their website pictures are very misleading. They claim it's for 4 to 5 persons but it's more like for 2 persons realistically. I've decided not to order from them anymore because of their miserable portions (and I'm not exaggerating). It's a pity because I think the taste is not bad. The pepper crab sauce is very good. But is it worth the price? No!

Next time please check with your guest earlier got any food allergy or not so you can order him some food that he can eat and not just see everyone eating but he not able to eat.

Most local indian in singapore belongs to Tamil, sikh and hindi they are minority in the indian community.

Poor guy with seafood allergy only see food diet. Ghid should get some other food for him.
