Japan is super fun, but I lost 300 elo playing it on the ladder haha quite recently. Depending on the map, you get 1 or 2 cherry orchard start

Japan does have the opportunity to train in batches of ten. Pretty fast massing.

It was taken down, most livestreams will be taken offline so that I can select juicy bits of content for people that missed the stream

This was really fun to see, I wasn't sure that was going to be a good japan strategy, but it was good. I'm impressed because Italy is an eco civ and Japan just won through eco

The things it's that italy is like brits, has a Great early eco and in mid Game are the Best because they Spike early, but if You do maths, actually brits and italy has worst eco than Japan or others like french/germans, but more to late Game, so yeah italy it's more of a mid Game civ, You want an FI and finish the Game quick, Japan can boom all day chilling, and italy has Bad military units and japans is strong in that department

Yea he’s good but the strategy is basic level stuff. Like the Cheyenne’s Buffalo hunt for the shrines.

Loathe Japan's 'safe boom' design. Always have. It's very hard to balance. Kinda glad they aren't considered good :D. So no, I would not like you play Japan :D.

Japan definitely sux rn, kynesie is the japan allfather ofc he makes it look strong. If ailey would have played an artillery comp and not slam infantry into yumis he would have busted kynesie.

To beat japan, even if you have 0 skill or brain playing against an excellent japan player, all you have to do is either rush (japan has the worst early eco in the game) or simply build artillery (japan's artillery sucks and their cav archers are super expensive but easy to kill with musks). This guy didn't rush and didn't build artillery...

All Japan units are Tier S, that civ is very strong

​@@elmeti02super expensive comp on a slow early game civ. Spain runs u down with 2 falcs rods and lancers the second u hit fortress (that is if you forfeit eco).

@@elmeti02 there's tons of comps that beat that comp, neither unit is that strong, neither s tier in my opinion. Yabusame are have ok damage and ok hp, only thing good is Ranged resistance, but it's very expensive, plus, does not have as much damage or HP to justify that if it's fighting hand cav, it will prevent it from coming close and just beat them Yumi also does not have much HP, and have good damage but bad multipliers, so even a halb spam can counter them...

5 shrines in age 2? This seems a bit OP and cancerous on low to mid elo. It's sad that the game's mechanics are too effective with lazy and boring skirmisher & dragoon play. It heavily favours European play.
