She has become a hero in my estimation. How many people, scientists as well as others, have shown such a commitment to living a moral life? We must listen and learn.

I’ve been a fan of Jane’s ever since I read her book ‘My Friends the Wild Chimpanzees’ in 1970 when I was 12. I really loved that book. I have the greatest respect for her and her work.

I hope to be able to meet her one day she is such an inspiration and it makes me cry every time I hear her talk because it resonates with me so well, I finally feel understood. I haven’t been able to go to college for certain reasons. I am 26 and everyone tells me I’m getting old and I need to start doing something with my life. Find a man and have kids but they don’t know or care what I want. Yes all of that would be lovely when the right time comes but I want to travel and help the world. I want to experience this world I always have ever since I was little but as I got to my 18th year my grandmother which was my guardian, her health got worse and so I stuck around to help her. I loved taking care of her but I missed out on a lot of things. She passed away when I was 24. And I know she would want me to follow my dreams. I’m usually good at knowing the steps to get things done but I’m just a bit lost. I suppose every adventure starts with the first step. I just don’t know which direction to begin. I suppose meeting the right people would help. Just getting out there a bit…. Last year I met a group to at does Bigfoot expeditions. I didn’t know much about Bigfoot or if he was even real but I just wanted to get out there no matter what I was doing or researching as long as I could find someone to explore with… and I did. I’ve always had an open mind and found these experiences opened my eyes even more… I’ve been looking into Peace corps and world packers and national park jobs etc but just recently I had foundEarth Watch which united volunteers with scientists and you help with research on expeditions… it’s like a working vacation you gotta pay but I would gladly join once I have the money! Hopefully one of these organizations will I’ll point me or someone else reading this in the right direction

Dr. Goodal: You are truly an inspiration, and your amazing work on Chimpanzees is incredibly relevant today as it has made us humans to pause and stop and say: we are not exceptional as a species. In other words, we must also include chimpanzees as part of that EXCEPTONALISM given their genetic and behavioural similarities to humans. Your take on spirituality is extremely profound re: nature and everything around us. Many congratulations on winning the Templeton Award; a most deserving prize indeed. Best🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

It's simple Ms. Jane. You are anointed by our Creator, God to do what you have done all these years. But there is a Savior called Jesus Who desires your love and acceptance. You've seen His magnificance through many lenses, now be encouraged to seek and accept the Source of everything (if you have not). ❤

@@alfredaivles7953 and the greatest of these is love......somehow, I don't think that applies just toward God. Or even just to humanity. If you can't feel that, I am truly sorry for you. You sound like a very cold, dogmatic, formulaic thinker who probably is not even trying to make this world a better place. I use my hands, my heart and my mind to do that every chance I get, for ALL life.
