Spurs do that every year thats why they dont progress.. When Arsenal was down Spurs were content because they were above us instead of wanting to go further. Few years ago they beat us to top 4. Last 2 years Arsenal have been going for the title and Spurs still scrapping for top 4

yes and isn't he paid to change how we are, Jamie is right, Ange has been found out - he is a one trick pony with no plan B, and we are no better off now then 2 years ago. Ange can keep saying yeah mate, and the press love him, but that is no good for the club who are going backwards. they will lose to not Liverpool but Man City, and end up back where they were a year ago. You are blaming ange but really the past 6-7 years they just haven’t done well .. I’m only seeing ONE person not producing and that’s LEVY …. They bring in so much Revenue and the quality of players are not on par with man city , Liverpool , or arsenal every year they are trying to buy Declan rice or a Bellingham . And we are buying an Emerson royal hoping he’s a unicorn it’s ridiculous.

It's a mental game as well as it is physical. It's why Chelsea can draw at a team at the bottom of the League and go on to beat Spurs, nearly (should of) beat Man City, once the mindset is established we (Chelsea) can get back on the winning spree. Spurs' mindset needs an extensive make-over.

They haven't been found out, they've stopped playing - slowing the game and going sideways and backwards instead of being brave through the midfield and cutting through the opposition like we did at the start of the season. The set pieces are an issue but do you expect Ange to come out and say "we've got a really big problem on our set pieces" undermine any player confidence and invite every team to target their set pieces. As Cundy said you can see they have done things differently for this one so they are clearly doing work on it but not going to highlight it for every team in the league to know about. I also imagine he is dismissive of the set pieces in the interviews because you can see there are a lot of issues in the general play where we aren't as fluid and brave on the ball or pressing as a unit as we were before so we're not as dangerous and not putting the same amount of pressure on opposition as we previously did which would reduce the amount of set pieces you face anyway

Anyone who’s watched the Premier League knew exactly what would happen after Anges comments this weak about set pieces….. Spurs would concede set pieces. Sometimes the drama in the premier league can seem almost scripted.

Called it at the time they're going to lose to all 3 after all that talk, never rely on Tottenham their whole history is literally failure when it counts.

Of course Big Ange will care about set pieces but he isnt going to bow down to the cringeworthy media with there silly questions and comments but behind the scenes he will be working on something for next season. Its amazing the turnaround and agenda setting managers get after a short dark period when a few months ago he had lifted a cloud from Spurs that had been there for years. The job to transform Spurs runs far deeper than 10 months in the job and set pieces. Ive noticed Ten Hag do the same since the Sancho thing - give media answers to the obvious. ETH has been fire fighting since he got to Old Trafford and the club is still ran by fractions of the dressing room and he still hasnt got his own XI available for a run of games.

It’s reassuring to see Mourinho and Conte’s second opinion is still in place. Like birds flying south in the winter, Xmas day and snowdrop’s popping through under the snow. That tings don’t change so -That come near the end of the season Tottenham’s DNA overwhelms whoever is in charge’s plans and when there is a chance of something worthwhile happening at White Hart Lane N15 the Spursy Gene kicks in to the relief of Gooners and Hammers everywhere

You only get that confidence for defending and attacking set pieces through training set pieces day in day out and Spurs don’t do it

The problem with Ange is his stubbornness. Just because a few people in the media have asked him about his set piece frailties, he completely wont address it. Incredibly stubborn. He won't go far in the Premier League with that attitude because this league will expose you. You have to chop and change and adapt to different situations but this bloke is set in his ways. Won't be around for long in this league with his attitude, we've seen it before and it never ends well.

Spurs were found out long before Ange arrived. It's just his turn to find out just how deep failure runs at that club. If it wasn't set pieces, it would be something else. They don't have a successful period to look back at like other big clubs.

Our problem is our front third. We never replaced Harry Kane. Timo has been providing an outlet that you could see was missing as well. We need a good striker and another winger, maybe one more midfielder. I also don't know why Le Celso is only ever put on with minutes to go. He is an excellent player.

2 London derbys in a week and udogie out against a £1.2 billion team at a ground we have only won once in 38 visits. Odds heavily stacked against us. The squad needs sustained investment and the manager needs time to build. They played well in parts of the game but lacked the quality needed to win. They had caicedo and Gallagher in midfield we had sarr and bissouma. Madueke is top drawer young fit and strong and Cole palmer is a world class number 10. When you look at our squad we are punching slightly above our weight. Gonna be an important summer transfer window for sure

1.2 billion wasnt on the pitch bro… about 400m started with 3 academy players… vs a spurs team completely bought for around 350m.. Bissouma/Caicedo is literally the same thing performed the same at Brighton but Bissouma did it longer and you got him with a run down deal and Gallagher is home grown so not sure what the point as you can develop a player, where Alfie Devine?

Jamie how about you call out these weak ass players. Every footballer knows how to defend set pieces but these players are scared to throw their bodies in dangerous positions. Set pieces have been a problem long before ange.

The warning signs were there in the reverse fixture when Ange decided to continue playing a high line when they went down to 9 men earlier in the campaign. The media and fans had the opportunity to tell the truth, but they didn't because they liked Ange. That likely made Ange feel comfortable to continue in his self destructive ways, the fact that they're continuing to concede the same sort of goals is a clear sign that lessons have not been learnt all season. The truth should've been told much earlier.

I said day one Ange gonna flop and get found out. Scottish league manager with a ego. Not good mate

The problem I felt with Ange at Celtic was his inflexibility in changing his system

I cannot help but feel his number two gets of very lightly in these exchanges . That man was relegated last season and has always been part of teams who defend poorly at set peices. Apart from height our set peices never stood out much under Ange although my mem is poor when you score nearly 115 goals up the other end.🍀

Ange potecoglou out!!! It makes no sense to plan the 23-24 season with just one tactic. Even though all teams already figured out how to destroy us, they were not prepared. It's not the players' fault. This is entirely the ange's fault. The tactic of not being able to defend against the opponent's counterattack by raising the line and opening up the space behind the defense even though there is no Udoggi is a really stupid tactic Ange Postecoglou OUT!!!

Set pieces seem to be one of many problems. Keeper needs to start shouting & catching the ball, zonal marking out, man marking in, it's all pretty basic stuff. Where was the marking for Chelsea's first goal.

Ange has been found out-yes but he will learn along side the players for next season, we will be the business. Chelsea had no pattern to their play, they are blagging it. Poch has no influence on how Chelsea play only picking the 11. Ange is in control and should be allowed to get on with it and he will get it right next season.

Spurs should have scored from set pieces though. Romero had two big chances against Arsenal and one against Chelsea. Fine margins.
