Arsenal getting this much criticism is insane. For the last 2 seasons, we have been the only team to really keep track with city (liverpool for about 80-90% of this season) and considering Man City are hailed as the best....its not a bad feat by Arsenal at all. Yet, we are getting slated to the hills for improving on last season and missing out by just 2 points. Its just maddness. Nobody slated liverpool for missing out by 1 point, so why so much venom towards Arsenal. Had we not pushed as hard as we did until the last game, the league would have been wrapped up weeks, or even months ago. Which would have made the league even more boring.

Arteta's had 5 years...that's right...but he's, also, only been a manager for 5 years. His future is very bright and he'll definitely become an elite manager. Emery, Klopp, Guardiola have many more years of experience.

16 wins out of 18 games second half of the season. Drawing to City and our only mistake being losing to Villa which cost us...that is the margins but the margins are getting considerably smaller which us the main thing.

And a CB as cover for Saliba and Gabriel, one who's flexible....

Well the season Liverpool won, City ended on 81 points. So Liverpool didn't really win a race, they pulled ahead early and didn't stop while City kept dropping points. Liverpool that season were incredible though, probably should have got way more than the 99, they let up once they won the league mathematically. Arsenal had a slower start this season, they need to pull ahead early on ideally

What youths when the players were in their mid to late twenties and the players who scored in the semi and final were not youth players. The top scorer’s best midfielder and best defender was all record transfers at the time.

Arsenal did what they had to do, it's the other clubs in the league that failed when playing Man City. More clubs in this division need to provide more of a competition against them, teams just turn up, expect to be beat and get turned over too easily.

I'm a massive fan of Martin Keown but it makes me laugh to see him like he is now compared to the lunatic beast he was on the pitch for my club. Look at what kind of squad Arsenal had 5 years ago, after years of selling their best players funding the new stadium. Compare them to the United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool squad 5 years ago. Arsenal spending €600 on 30 players to rebuild a rubsh squad, is different to other teams spending €600m on 10 players to upgrade their already world class squad. Also, after spending, Arsenal improve their league position year by year. You can’t say the same to other clubs.

This focus on how much money Arsenal have spent seems daft to me, the team needed an absolute overhaul when Arteta came in. Arsenal only just got to the point now where we can genuinely add players to the squad rather than simply replace outgoing deadwood first 11 players. This season has been the first we’ve realistically gone for the title, last season was a surprise, and a bit early, so I’m looking forward calmly to the next three years as our young players mature in becoming a long term contender in all competitions.

We’re not gonna beat City at their own game for the simple reason that they have better players than us overall. Competition was weak for us this season, which is why we finished second. We won’t win major titles under Arteta, I’m sorry to say it once again. I said from the word go that he would be completely out of his depth, I wish I could’ve been wrong. However, I’ve been proven correct on many occasions of his list of sackable offences. We needed an elite, world-class manager to try to get us over the finishing line. He’s done what he could, however, it’s just not been good enough. Arteta Out! P.S. I’m not going to “go away & support Tottenham” like I constantly get told by people who have different opinions to me. I respect your opinions but please respect mine.

@@NikkiStamp-or9oe Two years in a row we’ve bottled it, if you want to include the 2022 season where we bottled 4th spot & the 2021 season where we bottled the semi-final to Villarreal, I make that 4 years of us bottling it. 1 out of 17 trophies in 4.5 years is simply not good enough.

How many Arsenal players would actually get into City's best 11? Maybe 2 at most (Saliba and Saka)? Only reason it's even been close the past 2 years is because City have dropped more points than usual, then had KDB and Haaland out for long periods this season which made it the closest yet. Otherwise City win the league by at least 10 points minimum. The Liverpool team that won the title was miles better than this Arsenal side.

@@thomasreilly6362 Odegaard is not as spanish, silky, tekky, skillful, tricky, tiki taka capable as Foden, KDB, BernardoSilva or Rodri. Jesus, Trossard, Odegaard, Jorginho, Partey, Zinchenko, Timber, Saliba, Raya are the players who can get into their overall squad.

Everyone keeps praising Arsenal for second place. What is the point of praising Arsenal? That sounds contempt. Second place two times in a row with no trophy at all. If they are trying to win, they cannot be entertaining the fact that they are second or give Man City a good fight. I’m just saying because it can happened the third time. Man City don’t see anything other football in Premier League as a threat just because the club is second unless the football club win the league over Man City. Coming close to winning is not a threat to opponents unless you win. I know a lot of will disagree with the statement.

Chelsea €796m, United €694m, Arsenal €638m, Spurs €537m. Get your facts right. All PL teams spend big. Even teams that spend less are not far off Arsenal. Most importantly, ManCity don’t have to spend big because they have already bought a world class squad.
