I worked as a stand-in with James on a film about 10 years ago. Genuinely nice guy. None of the ego and stuff you might expect - in fact it was the much less well known actors in the film who behaved snooty and aloof toward the crew and extras, whilst James would grab people like us and put us in the front of the line at lunch/dinnertime because he knew we worked hard and shouldn't have to spend half our lunch-break standing in a queue. Or would offer you a ciggy if you had to chaperone him for a smoke-break. Or even invite you over to his table and buy you a drink if he seen that all the other departments had sat in their own little cliques. Nice guy.

In his early action movies, directors and stunt coordinators were flabbergasted by James' ability to execute his own stunts. In Behind The Scenes content, several stunt coordinators said he could have easily been a professional Stunt Man in another life if he had applied himself to that. They said his instincts for vaulting objects or rolling out of high landings, especially, were top level. He could also adapt his body conditioning (weight, muscle mass) very quickly.

I deeply fell in love with Charles in X-men first class, and I can vividly remember how fascinated and starry-eyed I was back when I watched it for the first time and many more times after that. For me his performance is a classic, I even have most of his dialogues memorized. Many might think otherwise, but for me, it's one of the closest movies to my heart.

Ah, I was hoping he would talk about his performance as Leto Atreides in the "Children of Dune" miniseries. I know they were on the cheap side, but their heart was in the right place. Most "Dune" fans at least respect them. And James just kill it in that role! He truly elevated the entire thing. I don't know how far the new movie series will go, but if they ever get to "God Emperor of Dune" I truly hope they cast him again. Obviously he can't play young Leto any more, but he could perfectly play him as an ancient worm god.

Out of all the Dune books, God Emperor is my favorite. It gets just as heady with its themes as the first book does, but it gets real out there at times, which is why I don’t see it ever being adapted into a movie. I don’t think any studio exec is willing to put his job on the line in order to back a movie starring a 3,000+ year old giant tyrannical man worm with an all female army and clones of what would have to be Jason Mamoa.

Yes, Mr. Tumnus! I think his portrayal was really great in this movie too. It's bittersweet in a way that Lucy went back through the wardrobe without saying goodbye. I was as mesmerized by the Flute scene, but you could tell he was a good character, though he was conflicted between helping his friend and having to serve the White Witch.

I love and respect how he ended this interview with "roles they say are iconic ". It just shows humble he is that he doesn't even see any of these as iconic and how much he loves his art. I can't wait to see what other projects he takes on in the future.
