I don't necessarily think it's the actors you gotta worry about it in that regard. A lot of them show reverence for what the characters mean to people generally it's on the studio level, the writers directors and producers, where you have people that decide they know better than the source material

I wish both Mark Rufallo as Bruce Banner and Hemsworth as Thor felt the same.

He was perfectly cast as Cap. The character can veer into tight-laced boy scout very easily but Chris chose to play him with more nuance and humanity. His Cap was one of the best-acted characters in the MCU.

I re watched it recently with the new series with them returning as voice cast, and aparently they all still talk and use the same email chris mentioned. It shows just how talentend that group was, and why we just dont get movies like that anymore.

I always choke up when I hear Chris say "Avengers, Assemble!" I had read that line so many times in the Avengers comics throughout my childhood and to finally hear Captain America say it, was truly one of the best moments of all Marvel movies

Such an amazing movie. And the way they did the credits of his phone was superb.

I love hearing the cast of Scott Pilgrim talk about that movie, its my favorite film of all time and it makes it even better how great of a time everyone had making it. I cannot wait for the animated series.

Great movie. I was making a reaction for my channel and the file got corrupted. Still frustrates me to this day that I couldn't publish it because I really loved the movie!

Too bad The Gifted was not discussed. It was a breath of fresh air seeing him not as Cap and doing a drama for a long time.

It goes underappreciated how much talent it takes to play a character like Johnny Storm and have a switch up like playing Captain America and not have one role mar the perception of the other. The time gap in between movies helped but I remember at the time of him being casted as Cap there was a lot of worry and complaints that he couldn't do it because of the perception of playing a role like Johnny in technically the same comic universe.

It weirded me out for a while seeing Chris Evans play Captain America bc I was so used to seeing him play Johnny Storm lol. And they’re polar opposites in personality. What’s ironic though is in the comics Johnny Storm and the Fantastic Four are the ones that actually found Cap in the ice

No offense to Evans. He is a decent actor. But his roles were mainly teen dramas and superheroes. Those films don’t really take a whole lot of acting range and skills. I would love to see him in more demanding roles like his protagonist role in Snowpiercer. Because he definitely got the chops.

Don't forget the range he had as Johnny Storm in the second movie when he had to switch up and be serious he had shades of Cap and being a leader then.

As someone who is team Capt, gave me a heart attack to hear he had turned down the role a few times I can't fathom anyone else playing the role but to hear his first priority was to uphold what fans loved about the character is so heart warming.

Being interviewed together with other actors and actresses, Chris oftentimes tells jokes and kind of horses around, which can also be fun of course. 🙂Here, however, he appears to be really serious, deep-thinking, and he strings words together so beautifully and effortlessly - such a bliss to listen to him reminiscing about his previous roles. 👍

Can we juss appreciate how Chris always speaks so highly of the roles he played…as a fan it’s so nice to hear he enjoyed it so much it gets kinda tiring hearing actors constantly hate their past characters

This was the movie I knew him for first of all. That banana split scene is still a classic! 😂😂

I love the contrast of him playing Curtis in Snowpiercer and Cap. Both entirely different heroes, one willing to sacrifice his own life for the sake of others, the other one willing to sacrifice everything for the greater purpose.

He comes across as a very gracious, humble guy. You wouldn’t guess he’s an A-list talent if you met him on the street and somehow didn’t recognise him.

It's nice to know he's aware that Scott Pilgrim was kinda head of it's time and is finding new found appreciation for a Cinematic masterpiece of creative stylisation and visual storytelling

The mjolnir moment made our whole theatre scream and applaud at that time. It was rly iconic, and recalling that exact moment never fails to give me goosebumps.

“Try to understand why other people like [captain America] and honor it as best you can” is one of the most coherent things I’ve ever heard a celebrity say.

I never understood why Scott Pilgrim underperformed, it´s such a brilliant and creative movie.

I can only speak as someone who knew nothing about Scott Pilgrim before seeing the movie. At the time it was just _too_ different and wacky, and out there. It was just something I'd never seen in a movie before and it felt like that was the only bit that I remembered about it. Everything else was forgettable.

I love how a simple nerd wanted to do acting and didn't want to be noticed and was one of the most gorgeous dudes out there to be captain America. Simple dude just wanting to be the best without the recognition.

I love that Edgar Wright has this reputation for people just feeling happy on his sets. It feels like many people just have their fingers crossed to get the call when he does a new movie.

Not Another Teen Movie was an all time favorite of mine growing up. It’s seriously underrated. He was perfect as Jake.

Cool to hear about the preparation for Sunshine. It showed in the film, excellent cast, and loved his portrayal of Mace

Chris Evans as an actor is so much underrated just because of his handsome looks. People will think his is just a typical handsome boy who is lucky to be an actor but deep down I believe he can offer more. Most importantly, he reads and the way he take upon acting, not following the money like some, is amazing.

One of my favorite most underrated movies with Chris Evans is cellular with Jason Statham as the bad guy!

My all-time favorite is Gifted (2017) Such a touching story, great cast and the lead performance by Chris Evans is outstanding.

Wish he had a chance to talk about Push, a criminally underrated film. Great performances by him, Dakota Fanning, and Djimon Hounsou.

I really wish that instead Thanos took away his super soldier powers and he just lived the last few years (or honestly months at his age) as normal Steve before passing. Him going back feels like such an out of character selfish move, Peggy moved on and had a wonderful life and family. With Steve there they either just had that dance and then stayed a part despite knowing they could now be with each other or they had to sneak around or something; they couldn’t have had a normal life together without changing the present day timeline since it would alter the chain of events that led to it.

A movie he starred and directed that I loved was "Before we go" with Alice Eve. A small gem that doesn't tend to appear in these lists, that I really liked.

This nuance of the romantic elements and ambiguity of the ending make Before We Go one of the best romantic movies of all time. It does a great job and fleshing out the characters in a way that doesn’t come across shallow or stereotypical like other movies

He's been in so many great movies. I'm so glad they asked him about his Lucas Lee role. Definitely a talented actor.

Yep, when he caught Mjolnir, the audience in my theater suddenly went so quiet you could hear a pin drop. And when he said "assemble." everyone went *_INSANE_* ! People were crying with the emotion of the moment. I'd been waiting for that moment since I started reading Captain America as a boy 'way back in the 60s. 52 years is a looong time to wait but the delivery was so worth it.

How he manages to fit in such wide range of characters so naturally is amazing. In my opinion, despite being the Cap, he is a very underrated actor.

Met him this year at ECCC. He was amazing to talk to and meet. Such a cool dude. Talked with him about my snakeskin boots for 10 minutes. He didn't have to do that but he did. He's one of the heroes i recommend you meet

What a legendary filmography. Sunshine is a modern sci-fi classic, so underrated.

every time anyone talks about being in Scott Pilgrim, they ALWAYS talk about how much fun everyone was and how sad they were to go. So wholesome and heartbreaking at the same time :(

I completely missed that movie. I am definitely going to check it out.

I think, though I am not so much a fan of Chris Evans, he did a really great job with Captain America. The dedication to the physical and mental side of the character was well done.

A super underrated movie that Evans was in, was PUSH. Had an awesome world building premise, and a think on your feet thrilling drama. Now that him and Dakota Fanning are older, it would amazing to have them revisit it with years having passed and how powers have evolved, etc.!

I loved Push! Someone uploaded it to youtube one time and I watched it for the first time. I liked it so much I went out and bought it on DVD lol

Oh I forgot about that movie, a buddy told me it was kinda meh so I was going to wait and rent but then kinda forgot it existed. I will check it out tonight.

I like how after months of silence he's everywhere all at once. Love it!

His small role in The Iceman was pretty cool. Stuff like that during his Cap days showed he liked challenges. And he was very awesome in Losers

Hearing that the Scott Pilgrim cast email chain is still active is literally the most wholesome thing

It's oddly satisfying that everyone of the stacked cast seems to really cherish doing Scott Pilgrim.

I really liked his acting in " Defending Jacob " .

I really wished he played more serious roles because he certainly has this aura of playing tough and rigid characters just like in snowpiercer @@mainly_marvel

I can't fathom anyone else playing the role but to hear his first priority was to uphold what fans loved about the character is so heart warming.

Aw I wish he talked about “gifted” it’s such a great movie and a tearjerker for sure.❤

Chris Evans as an actor is criminally underrated.

It was nice to hear him say “Tony” again 😅

I wasn't aware how well-spoken he is!

His thought process is spot on when playing a beloved character. Always respect and understand the character you portray.

I’m sad the movie Push with Chris in it is not talked about more often. It’s one of the best “superhero” movies I have ever seen with a very interesting and new story that hasn’t been told before.

"Sunshine" is such an underrated classic. Terrific actor.

I like the fact that he actually said Mjohlnir instead of thor's hammer even after 4 years . I wouldn't have blamed him if he forgot the name. Respect

Kinda sad he didn't include his act on "GIFTED" it is one of my fav character of him after captain america. His act on that movie with the child is also amazing

It is great that over the years as a actor he grew. He vocalized specific meaning of those movies to him. Those are things audience want to know, but rarely get to hear

Really sad that they didn't include The Losers in this. It seems like he had a lot of fun with that role and I would've liked to hear about it.

Chris Evans's performance in Snowpiercer was so mind-blowing, I absolutely forgot anything that he's ever done in the past. Frankly, one of the best performances in the past decade.

This is interesting how many different characters this guy has played and the list was missing a few that was quite divergent in screen casting. Push, Defending Jacob, Cellular, Gifted and Before We Go. I like actors and actresses like this❤

Scott Pilgrim is praised so heavily for a reason, such a great movie

Everyone loved being in Scott Pilgrim, no wonder the whole cast is coming back for the animated version.

Sunshine is one of the most underappreciated films of all time.

The movie that really got me to like Chris Evans was Cellular. Love that movie!

No one can replace the Captain America ❤

for such a larger than life actor he is so down to earth and humble.

He’s so well spoken, listening to him speak is always a joy.

I'm so glad that he presented us Captain America

I just got chills still watching the clip of him saying "Avengers, assemble" and as I type this, I got goosebumps again haha! Epic!

It was quite an insightful interview. Different approach in summarisation.

Such an awesome actor and he was PERFECT for Captain America.

It's a shame he doesn't talk about Defending Jacob, it's one of his best performances.
