`Yeah there is literally nothing redeemable about him, even this "make up' is what others are trending with right now, primary colours to mix. He's so selfish, this was so obvious to get free advertising and these people actually did it. I wouldn't respect anyone who was promoting his stuff.

He asked his followers to help him design the packaging and some other stuff like that, and then didn’t use any of the stuff people offered. It’s very clear it was all just a marketing scheme to get people to interact with the new brand and then basically said fuck you to everybody who tried to help him.

I'm not a fan of JC, but I don't want someone to tell me I "look good" or am "not ugly" and other bs if I ask this question. There are beauty standards and conventional beauty and people who don't fit them are mostly done and tired of hearing these fake "ohh but you're pretty" comments. If a person already think they're ugly, some random celeb telling them they "look good" won't solve it and honestly saying "everybody is beautiful" often feels like people denying the hierarchy that comes with beauty standards and the treatment that "ugly people" get in society. We don't need you to say "you look good" because it never fails to sound fake asf, we need to hear "I'll accept you no matter how you look and what you think of yourself". "You're beautiful the way you are" won't solve anything. People will always have beauty standards and judge other's faces and bodies. "Your appearance should have nothing to do with how you're treated and acceptance" is a better one.

I think part of the reason why James's brand isn't getting much hype (besides the obvious) is that the brand is starting with face paints, which aren't exactly something that the average person can use easily or regularly. I think it's an interesting concept for a brand, but it's something that would appeal to MUAs and not the average makeup user. So I get why it's just not appealing to most people.

There is potential for him to create a trend that could break his product through to the market but he is messing up on the marketing side of things. Cochella would've been a golden opportunity for his brand. And with the way he did his followers he should be somewhere trying to find a way to bounce back from this. My advice is to hire a better marketing team and to select 10 additional small creators to be apart of the brand.

I ended up at phase -“It got nothing to do with you, just she fits the character better.” No offence to a girl who ended getting the role. But why then I had to stay where for two weeks!?!? Idk if it had to something with her mom’s business, but I almost got the role. And then you just turn to a different side.

If the entry video got a copyright claim and was unable to be used and he actually meant what he said he should have released another video that people could stitch. I'm so mad at myself that I thought he might actually do something different.

He realized that his brand is not getting the attention so he NEEDS people with huge following to promote him. Unfortunately his followers continue to ignore the fact that he only cares about how much money he can get from them.

I think we're starting to see some of the larger consequences to his professional life from all the "scandals" he's been in previously. It really seemed like he thought he got off scott free after his shitty "apologies" and that his platform didn't take as big a hit as it should have. Now is when his influence and platform are going to show the hits he's taken.

He wanted the free advertising, people had to tag him on tiktok and everything. He knew from the beginning the type he would pick and just used everyone else. He’s not paying for advertising (which is why there’s no buzz about his brand) and so he’s using everything he can to get the word out for free. I bet most of those influencers are already in LA to hence saving him money cause he doesn’t have to fly them out/pay for hotels.

I think he really forked this up. He should've stuck to his promise and pick regular people. If I was one of those people who submitted makeup looks I would feel that my trust was BETRAYED and exploited. I would not give this brand a time of day after that, just because of utter disappointment. His brand would really benefit if he kept his promise. Forking his fans over is a dick move, especially given that his brand has not even launched yet.
