As a bouncer for 20 years before I quit, Jake did this wrong. You definitely get them outside and try to talk them down, but no slapping. The moment the first guy swings, you put him down so hard and mercilessly that the others think he might be dead and choose to take their friend to the hospital. Otherwise, you will definitely lose the numbers game. Your fellow bouncers are your "brothers" and there to watch each others' backs. Never challenge that many guys by yourself without knowing your boys have your back if it goes sideways.
@probegtdriver7622

But it only works if they are not Turks or Arabs... They surround you and your colleagues immediately and if you so much as flinch, they come from all sides. And even if you and your fellow bouncers manage to put them to flight. They come back a short time later with several people and outnumber you by at least 3. These cowards have no honor and can't handle defeat.

The original was good, but let's not pretend that it couldn't have been better. Patrick Swayze is a tiny guy compared to the size of real bouncers. A real life guy like him would have been slammed to the ground and beaten senseless. The original only worked because viewers let themselves suspend disbelief and root for the good guy and were excited about Patrick Swayze. It was a fun movie, but I was in high school when I saw it and had no idea how ridiculous it was in reality.

@@repealthepatriotactI would say the original was barely adequate.... Friend of mine who was in jail told me Roadhouse is a particular favorite of inmates. I can't imagine them standing this remake. Let's be honest - Swayze wasn't the greatest actor. Take away Ghost and Dirty Dancing and there's a lot of crap. Of course, there's an even worse Swayze martial arts film - Steel Dawn.
I recently read a review and this person gave it a one star. Said it wasn't realistic because bouncers don't swing first. Although, in this story, this group terrorizes that bar and physically assaulted a bartender. These reviewers are a huge joke.

The original movie had horrible fighting scenes
Somewhere Patrick Swayze is watching unimpressed and surprised they had the audacity to remake his masterpiece.
As soon as i saw the motorcycles they were riding, i knew this was going to be a comedy. 😂

My all time favourite hero now. Dalton Jake Gyllenhaal version. Smile, calm, not serious and funny but explosive and overpower his Villian.
Sam Elliot should of made a cameo. Sitting at the bar with his drink. Watching Dalton work. And be like i remember those days

Horrible idea to remake this classic. Nobody can play Dalton other than Swayze. Doesn't help that the acting and dialog is horrible. The fight scenes are ridiculous and nobody gets their neck ripped out which was the only scene I was looking forward too.

Roadhouse was good because it was bad. Like so many movies it’s fondly remembered as a movie of its time, Same goes for movies like mean girls. These remakes are just so pointless.
Pretty cool. Although, I do have issues with the framing and the lighting. Like, it could have been storyboarded a little better. Great scene, regardless!
