Yeah, I always thought scenes like this would be better without the gun. The fact that he beats the guy with the gun seems more like luck than skill. In reality, if that guy had backed off or sidestepped a couple of feet or had a better grip on the gun or if the guy in red or any of the others had taken two seconds longer to subdue he would have been dead. Yes, I know it's a fictional fight, but it would have been stupid to take them on. The dude in red was large man as well. The Rock couldn't have known he could beat the guy in red so easily or the other two before guy number four gets his gun out.

wasn't the rock playing an fbi agent? and also how would the guy back off when the fight started off so fast, the guy's fight or flight kicked and he would only be thinking "pull gun out" not "move back to have a better advantage" especially since this looks like the type of guy to not be in a lot of fights.
"One thing you need to know . . . I don't like bullies" . . . .BAM!
Loved this scene. I'm sure they had a difficult time keeping a straight face during this and the rest of the movie.

The problem is, we couldn't really ever tell who's good or who's bad. Maybe, bully's who never had any intention of being bully's got bullied themselves in the past and their bully's got away with it so they bring it out on other people. It's not a right thing but these things do happen. Victims do deserve an apology though.

One of the Rock's best movies. So underrated!
One of the funniest parts of this is the fanny pack and Calvin's look of fear and disgust at the thought he may end up having to wear one!
The outtakes and the interviews of them imitating each other are funny too!

Know what I think? I think Dwayne and Kevin just get together, say, "hey, let's have some fun," and someone whips up a script and they just make a movie about them horsing around. And the success of those movies just illustrates what a great friendship they have and we're just along for the ride.

This is real nice...he's backing his friend against a bully. Not many , in real life, are able to pull this off. But there was a gun thrown in the game, so a retreat could be the wisest thing to do...but then again, this is a movie, and like so many movies, the hero picks up the challenge, so that we as a vieuwer can be happy to see some bully ass got kicked. Still a great scene!!!
When the guy points out that there are 4 of us, I was waiting for the Reacher response. Take out the main guy, last 2 run away.....
