Jaguar XJ8 Sovereign.
The Sovereign represented the highest luxury specification for Jaguar models, sitting next to the XJR, which provides the ultimate performance. Sovereigns featured more elaborate/expensive wood veneer, commonly highly figured burr walnut; with window control/ashtray trim panels also done in wood veneer as opposed to plastic in other models. The Leather is also of a higher quality and often features contrasting piping, with seats being of the traditional fluted style. The suspension setup was biased towards touring and the wheels were normally 16" or 17" to provide high profile tyres for additional ride quality. Computer Active Technology System adaptive suspension was also offered as a rare option.
Externally a Sovereign can be distinguished by the complete use of highly polished steel/chrome work around windows and rear light clusters; as well as polished radiator grill and boot garnish. The cars are simply badged as "Sovereign" with no mention "XJ".
Jaguar also released a long wheelbase version of the Sovereign in 1998. The difference being that the car is around 4 inches longer, with the rear doors being noticeably longer than the front; there is also correspondingly taller rear roof profile to provide additional headroom. The Long wheel base version provided considerably more rear legroom and made the XJ a true limousine.
The four-liter V8 engine delivers 284 hp and convinces with terrific smoothness. The maximum torque of 375 Newton meters at 3750 revs can expect good.
So the performance is sovereign. The cat jumps from zero to 100 km / h in 7.3 seconds and the top speed is more than adequate 240 km / h.

Mine is 1998 XJ. 160 miles today, made that sound like 1:07, 1:44, 5:12 a few times today sadly in the UK I am illegal at over half of top speed, so can't really enjoy it without fear of fine or ban. I have always thought I should have lived in Germany, but I have read recently that speed limits are going to be drastically reduced on the Autobahns. No fun allowed these days.

Had two 2001 Vanden Plaus , both were limited at 155 mph and both pulled harder from 130 to 155 than from 80 to 130 . . . . Solid as rock just wind noise seemed excessive over 130 . Both ran into a wall at 155 and both were showing no signs of running out of power when the limiter came in . Both wrecked while I was at traffic lights and both times the car saved my life . One head on and the last from the rear both at substantial speed . Both totaled during the accidents . I now have a 2006 XJR with ' all ' upgrades and no limitations. Previously owned by a Jaguar tech . . . . . barely street able around town very poor manners . . . . . Great interstate car though. Both previous Jags ( Lyons ) were far superior in ride and comfort though and no slouch in performance either.

Unless you do some google searches and find the blog you need, there are mods and work arounds involving the CD player to provide either an AUX port for your phone or bluetooth. Other than mods, you are out of luck due to the fiber optic wiring and the NAV built into the info-tainemnt system. Sorry for spelling mistakes.

Stop leaning you head dude! Most accidents are caused by a phenomenon known as being hypnotized by the road. Leaning your head is how it starts every time. Unless your riding a bike. Then it’s almost not even possible. Happens is quite cars a lot.

Leaning is how road hypnosis starts . It’s a trance . Once you are given to operation of auto then Anything can cause a short circuit in the brain . Lines on road , power poles / fence posts . This is what survivors Remember seeing . “ I kept seeing the lines on the road then lost my motor skills “ it’s not even taught these days as speed regulation is enforced strictly. Before radar guns and radios, People drove as fast as they could go . Just like the autobahn. Professional drivers should be aware of it. Most truck drivers know well about it. Hi speed + unnecessary body movements can end in catastrophe. Motorcyclist are excluded because they are not insulated from the environment. This keeps them aware . He is driving fine , I just noticed his body language . There is no need of it . Getting “ into it” to much . Hope you Comprehend what I’m typing . I’m a American and I know other countries talk more specific and clear than we do. We even change the meaning of words sometimes. Other words make no sense like hot-water-heater . Why would hot water need heated ? Nonsense word
