I owned a Jaguar XJ V8 Sovereign for nine fine years and I had to say good bye because my home town made the pavement higher so I could not open my garage door anymore. So my precious pride had to stay outside....my beautiful bolide had been rotten away! I kissed the car good bye and I was heartbroken. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! I had one of these when it was quite a young car. The acceleration was particularly good from 40kph to 120kph. I need to find a replacement. I left mine in Australia.

@@theonewhodrive In the UK now. These X308's are going up in value, and finding a good one is becoming more difficult. Very few left without either rust or high mileage or both.

My dad had a 98 XJ8 a lot of memories I remember the car just purring like a cat actually all jokes aside even if it wasn't called a jaguar I would still described it as that I remember he would let me shift every once in a while if I was in the front unfortunately it got a transmission issue and it's been sitting for a while we have the stuff to fix it just need the time

I just bought a 2002 Jaguar XjR Vanden Plas today and omg 😮‍💨😭 I’m definitely team Jaguar for awhile. 🔥

Need to replace some bushes otw this gave me a lil nostalgia!

Szpera zdecydowanie by się przydała przy dynamicznej jeździe. Na kanale @TheSmokingTire jest materiał z gościem który zrobił w XJ swapa na LS'a z Corvetty i manual z open gate'm - polecam zobaczyć 🤘

The I6 was in the X300 and the X308 is only V8.

Love the car, it’s reminding me of my 2003 s-type what dumb people are keep looking down. The driving feel and comfort is just like in the xj and the maintance costs are the same as well. I have tried the manual mode a few times but i felt it unnecessary the 6 spd zf transmission was quiet fast. I also quit speeding cause it just so wonderful to be in the car.

The steering, does it have a close ratio steering box and is it tight? To me it looks like you need to turn the wheel a lot for corners.

What's the noise that can be heard around 7min when you enter the highway?

such a beautiful car, I'm envious. But why is the steering wheel slightly turning to the Right when driving straight?

Nice video! Thank you for it. How's the acceleration on this Jag? I have a W210 E320 but I miss some horsepower in it. The E430 I've driven before would press me into the seat when flooring. So I'm torn between trading my E320 for a S500 or this Jaguar.

Jakie spalanie w mieście I na trasie?

I enjoyed it . However the rolling noise seemed higher than what I expected as well some furniture rattlings. Am I supremly exigent?

There’s one near About 110k miles on it. It will be my second car, though is it worth buying if they don’t have any history of it, like maintenance receipts, etc? He’s asking for $3500.00 USD

Piękny jag z zajebistych czasów motoryzacji. Wg mnie żadna większa moc w tym aucie nie jest potrzebna , bo to nie fura na wyścigi tylko do delektowania sie jazda. Mam mała kolekcje furek z najlepszych czasów moto ale Jaga nigdy nie miałem a mega mi sie widza . Ciekawe jak porownanie do s klasy i siódemki w komforcie i jakości wykończenia wnetrza . Jak wogole jest z dostępnością części obecnie i awaryjnoscia tych fur? Maja jakies „ krytyczne punkty”na które trzeba zwracać uwagę? I co sadzisz o następcy - tym co szedł do 2007r ? Bo kolejny ten x351 to juz nie moja bajka…

Gratuluję! Jakie samochody posiadasz? :D Sam Jaguar to bardzo stylowy samochód, wzbudzający pozytywne emocje na drodze. Zawieszeniowo bliżej mu do eSki niż do serii 7. Jakość wykonania wnętrza niestety jest ligę niżej niż niemieccy konkurenci. Awaryjność nie jest jakaś tragiczna, ale większość egzemplarzy niestety jest już mocno zmęczona życiem, a dostępność niektórych części jest bardzo kiepska w porówaniu z BMW, czy Mercem. Najbardziej leci w nich blacha, oraz skrzynie biegów (nomen omen niemieckie ZF'y). Myślę, że inwestycyjnie najlepszym wyborem będzie X306 najlepiej z V12.

Zbierałem ten złom od lat bo lubię gromadzić a moto mnie mega jara , a ze były okresy ze zarabiałem w kurwe pieniędzy to zawsze cos sobie dokupiłem do mojej graciarni ; często tez wymieniałem na coraz mocniejsze auta i takie o których zawsze marzyłem . Najmłodsza fura jest z 2013 r Toyota tundra wersja platinum 5.7 v8 oczywiscie mpi i wolny ssak - zahebista fura - totalnie bezawaryjny czołg - wol roboczy ,potem merc s w221 5.5 v8 w longu 2010 ; Bmw 7 e65 745d 2006 , audi a6c4 2.8 quattro v6 1996 r ; porsche 911 carrera S 3.8 b6 - wszystko juz starsze fury ale z pięknych czasów , dbam o nie bo maja u mnie dozywotke - teraz juz takich nie robią . Widzi mi sie jeszcze jag z tych do 2008r - potem to juz nie , ale te do 2008 przepięknie sie prezentują , myślałem zeby dokupić siodeme e38 ale niestety blachy juz w tych furach lecą - nie chce walczyc co roku z korozja .

Powyżej 120 km/h słychać już zawirowania powietrza. Trzeba by zapewne wymienić wszystkie uszczelki jak to w każdym starszym aucie.

Jak działa ta skrzynia to jest automat a wachlujesz? O co w niej chodzi.

Ustawiając np. na pozycję "2" sprawiasz, że skrzynia używa tylko 1 i 2 biegu. Jest to przydatne gdy jedziesz np. 60 km/h na 5 biegu i ustawisz "2" to skrzynia zredukuje do 2 biegu (jeżeli obroty nie bedą za wysokie) i możesz w ten sposób hamować silnikiem.

Am I driving mine wrong? I have a 98 x J8 and I only put it in Drive and drive. Never gone to 4th, third or second? Help

These (in the uk) have become very cheap, probably cos people put off by running and maintenance costs during times of high inflation and cost of living etc. If you can pick up a good one now would make a fantastic investment in a few years time only in my opinion.
