I was smitten by a dark red 2004 Jag XJ with a cream interior about two years ago. I picked it up for a very fair price, and have had few troubles. A fellow at the car wash once told me, "I see Maseratis, Mercedes, Teslas come through here all the time, but this", he said, pointing to the Jaguar, "this is the car." Indeed. Grace, Pace, and Space.

I own a 1996 Daimler Six LWB. These cars definitely have a soul! Fantastic design and attention to every detail!

Jaguar ...one of the few things that make me proud to be British these days ....The most beautifully proportioned 4 door saloon car ever created.......the Daimler super 8 X308 was a masterpiece...but even a humble 3.2 X300\X308 was a thing to drive or just look at....and before anyone chimes in on rust and reliability....yes you have to lavish time care and money on them...so what!.... I've got a 95 manual trans XJR and a 1999 auto XJR....And I will never recoup what I spend on them....its not the point of owning them....driving them is

@Nicholas Davis Owning a Daimler Super V8, a Jag is build to be a Race Driving Car experience. Even in a Daimler LWB , U can still enjoy this Race Car feeling. A Bentley or Rolls weight approx 2500 Kg or more. A Daimler/Vanden Plas Super V8 Weights 1840 Kg Max. The Ford/Jaguar AJ-V8 Engine was voted among the 10 Best Engines made in 2000. In 2003 the X308 Jaguar was voted Nr1 in Customer reliability Survey by Top Gear ! Having said this, I do Love the Bentley Arnage Silver 24 Le Mans..... Greetings to all !!

i got a 97 xj7l for 3 grand and a 95 xj6 that i payed 1200$ for that im fixing and they are great cars you can beat the piss outta them

I'm not english actually an iranian but to me this car is class comfort, safety,my childhood memories as daddies car I always felt special in this car just thee is something about it that u don't find I'm any other cars thank u great britain for Such great engineering as always of course

Who cares about the rust and the multitude of faults , the XJ 1998-2002 most beautiful saloon of all time with a magic carpet ride . Awsome just awsome

After much deliberation on the XJ ,I purchased an XJ 350 and can say I still can’t take my eyes off it after 6 months.Although different to the 308 it still has so many similarities ,without the rust more space and just as much grace.Love it to bits❤🇬🇧👌

I owned a Jaguar XJ V8 Sovereign for nine great years... It is the most beautiful car ever made in my opinion. It is a pity the new Jaguars do not like them anymore, they look the same as all other new cars. 😢 Please bring back the old XJ V8 model we love so much! I am sure it will become a booming business!

Jaguar, beware, they are addictive! I am now on my sixth Jag, a stunning XJ Portfolio that even after three years puts a huge smile on my face when I see it on my drive and when driving it. Jaguar may be owned by Tata, but it is the epitomy of all that is British.

This is the first time I've seen Her Majesty herself, drive a Daimler (XJ version) to an official looking event, get out, close the door herself, then go about her duties, then get back in the Daimler, taking hold of the steering wheel, and drive off ! I might be a colonial from Australia, but so proud of my English heritage, and a lover of Jaguar cars!

My dad, mom, aunt and uncle, all of them had jag. Xj4.2, XJ 12 serrie ll and lll. My sis and I rised on back seat of my dad and mom jags. Late 70, 80's and early 90's... Thank you Britain 💚💙💚

With a name like yours you would have to appreciate beauty more than those who just seem to appreciate the speed and performance more than that of a great Jaguar car, that was voted by a panel of Milanese designers, as the most beautiful sedan in the World. Bravo.👍

Nothing looks or drives like a jaguar, I own a jaguar sovereign x350 4.2 v8 2006 model, it may not be has sleek then the older versions but still looks like a 'jaguar '. I absolutely love it i treat myself to a quick trip down ( and back ) the m4!!!!

I own a 97 XJ6 LWB...Dark burgundy with the cream interior and 4.0 litre inline 6. I love this car. Named her Princess Diana sonce that was the year she tragically lost her life 😢

There are so many facet's on my X308 Design , that makes it so Beautiful. I cannot explain , because everyday I find out new things that amaze me, like after 3 Months of owning a X308 is see the Beauty of the rear wheel hip design. A month ago I noticed how the front wheels are a bit in Camber, rear wheels not. Like a Cat , ready to get it's Prey... Thank You for this Video !

Such glorious cars, very few cars of the past 30 years come close in style. I can only think of the Lagonda Taraf and Bentley Azure, which are way more expensive.

Just had the extreme good fortune to acquire a 46,000 mile 2002 Jaguar Vanden Plas in like-new condition. Fabulous car. Finest paint quality I have ever seen on a production car (Anthracite)...a 10-stage paint process at the time, from what I have read. It has no contemporary peer. Though not inexpensive (when new), it was a bargain in terms of value for the dollar. Far closer to Rolls and Bentley in concept and execution than to anything from Mercedes, BMW, or Lexus (though all very fine cars in their own right, of course). A true modern classic if there ever was one. Your video gave me goosebumps...to think that I would ever be so fortunate to drive what the royals and heads of state use to get to their destinations! Thanks so much for sharing.

I own a Daimler (in the US called VdPlas) 00 Made X308, and I am also very much impressed by the Paint. In Dark or cloud , it's plain Blue, but when sunny it's impressive sparkling Green.

I have wanted an XJ40 since I was a small boy.

Monarchs of luxury and style. Built in Coventry to a standard not a price. X300/X308 are legends.

I also own a 1996 jaguar x300 4ltr LWB with 94,000kllm on the clock and agree with the other readers that this car is the most beautiful XJ6 ever. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the late Geoff Lawson and his design team, for producing such an outstanding beautiful looking Jaguar car. Sir Willam Lyons , the original creator of Jaguar would be very proud of this car.

@@useyourbrain6937 Great car and I still have mine. Just coming up to the 100,000klm service which I will do myself. I also have an X Type with less K's but it is only half the car of the X300. If only they had put a 4 Cylinder engine in the X Type, like they have put in the XE, it would have been a much better car. The buyer sure knew how to ruin a good car. They just had to have a V6. I love the car, but not the mechanics.

@Richard Autenzio mines got around 155 thousand miles and she drives likes she's brand new, 4 liter inline 6 engines are not only reliable, but they have a certain growl to their exhaust note that you simply can't get from a V8 engine. I've never been a fan of the x type, the xj6 is just beatiful beyond comprehension, this car helps set me free from the existential doom that we all face, as that is a part of our privilege as being conscious beings.

@@useyourbrain6937 Yes they sound good and my 3ltr AWD had a very definite roar to it. However my straight 6 XJ6 is much quieter and the silence is more enjoyable than the sound of the engine. I see and hear small cars on the road making lots of noise and going nowhere and it makes me not want to be associated with that kind of car. It reminds me of the little dog barking next door.

Nice video. I was in two minds about selling my 95 XJ LWB Executive. I will never part with it now !

I've got a 99 jaguar vanden plas x308 as it's called I absolutely love it I'm currently restoring it.

I also have daimler6(X300). It is really true that she is so beautiful car.

2:01 I don't remember this ultra short wheelbase x300 ! Kidding - I have the last year x305 v12 of this car, also last of the OBD1 Jags mere mortals can work on before the world went nuts with incomprehensible chip over complexity. As long as you keep the front suspension in good condition and replace elderly rubber components these are fabulous cars

21 years driving my 2001 Ford X-Type Jaguar and it´s my favourite. Amazing car, I love it :D

Not a ford jag knobhead.x350 is a superb jag.ford owned jaguar way before most of these cars were made.ford did a superb job with jaguar,once they sold them it was downhill all the way.

I forgot to mention, this happened at 3.43 on the video.
