The 2003 model year Jaguar XJ is a car that needs no excuses. Previous generation XJ models always strived to match the German opposition. The latest XJ has the Germans scratching their heads in amazement. Quite how Jaguar managed to pull off making this car - comfortable, luxurious and elegant while still a convincing drivers' machine - is a work of genius. Much of the credit must go to designer Ian Callum and the engineering team who fabricated a great deal of the car from lightweight aluminium. If you can afford a used XJ, we have but one question for you. What are you waiting for?

I think that the interior and the exterior of this Jag are just flawless, in my opinion, one of the best looking saloon cars ever made that age incredibly well over time. Thanks for the review!

100 percent agree!!!...Beautifull car 😍👍
Great video 👍, really enjoyed it. It's sad that these particular jaguar models never received the credit they deserved. I sometimes see 2003 jaguar xj models around and they still look brand new with excellent body work for their age. I think that they are pretty much super reliable also.

I've got the X300 from 1997, basically like the later V8 but with a straight 6 4 litre. Mine drives well and has 286,000 miles.

Wow, that’s nice. And, interesting, about your iV6…hmm I think I’m going to buy a 2008 XJ vanden plas near me this week, I think I’m going to actually do it! But my plan is to just drive it for 3 to 6 mos, and then hopefully sell it and make a profit, also before any big maintenance or problems come up! How has yours been maintenance-wise? The one I want to buy is the 4.2 L v8, vanden plas, 51000 miles, like… $5500.
It is indeed a very well made race saloon with comfortable and very responsive. A bit more costly for repair while maintenance about the same as other same level cars. 2004 XJR @ 222k km in Canada
It's a testament to that platform that it now underpins the stunningly beautiful X351. It's the XJ i own and I'm very pleased with it.
Own the facelift x358 diesel 2.7 twin turbo that has been chipped and the torque is Huge and it’s acceleration is astonishing and it’s a pleasure to drive - best car on market and best car I’ve ever owned
I enjoyed watching the video! Many thanks!

I just (Feb 2024) bought a 1 owner 51k FJSH Daimler Super Eight and it’s a fabulous car combining luxury and real power via its 4.2 litre V8 Supercharged engine 😊
Thank, you for you're video and you're time spent.

Thank, you
I love my 3.0 sport such a pleasure to drive weekly
Bought my car 7 years ago beautiful 2.7 diesel 45000. On the clock 2006 model as good today as port from new
I don't think these cars age one bit....even in 2024 they look bang up to date thanks to Jaguar not going all 'generic' with the body shape like all of the German luxury car manufacturers
What year is the best from this generation ?? The more reliable ??

What… Is a… Saloon!? Im from usa, Philadelphia, I’ve just never ever heard that term used about a car! Haha! I’m guessing Brit or UK or European for “sedan” or full size sedan? Thanks , and thanks for the video

Anyone who calls a backside a "fanny" and trousers "pants" just cannot be taken seriously. But we forgive you because you did bring us "Frasier" (though of course it co-starred an English man and an English woman)
How on Earth did Jaguar go bankrupt something's not right about that Jaguar was brilliant cars even the older ones

People are stupid and easily steered by other, corrupt corporations' massive marketing machines with their army of psychologists planning their methods. That, and they also bribe the media (not that Jaguar doesn't do that to the British media, but anyway...).

A question I have asked myself on many occasions!!....other than the recent new design of the XJ range, Jaguar cars are amongst the most beautiful on the road.

I cannot stand the cars they built after they stopped making this iconic-shaped XJ. Their cars look just like everyone else's now.@@juliusilori
Fuel consumption is irrelevant 😂
