I 've got the XJ Sovereign LWB TDVI.. with Classic Racing Green paintwork and cream interior...whenever I park up in supermarket carparks and go shopping, most times,, I come back to the car with people stood looking at it or giving me compliments on how nice it looks..even teenagers ask if they can sit in the drivers seat to see what it like to be behind the steering wheel of a jaguar 👍

Just picked up a standard wheelbase one of these with low miles (58 plate) for £8k. Maximum plutocrat waft for the price of a packet of crisps. Nice.

The value of these is actually going up. If you know anything at all about them you realise they are priceless.

I own a 22 year old XJ8 308 4ltr LWB Sovereign with only 85k miles on the clock. It's in superb condition and I imagine it will still do 155 miles an hour. It's definitely a wafter. You better keep that one.

I have a 04 XJR same color as this one. It's by far the nicest car I've ever owned or been in, love it. Your remiss in the fact that you fail to mention the cost of ownership associated with these older luxury cars. Great video!

I was looking at the market for used XJs since I have a white 2008. Came across your site... what a hoot! This car is one of the most trouble free cars i've owned in fifty years driving. I'm a bimmer guy through and through but there's nothing that touches this car.

I have recently bought a 2008 XJ standard wheelbase 3.0 V6 petrol in black over tan, with only 54K on the clock (import from Japan) and it's exactly as you describe, only shorter! I've had plenty of cars over the years but this one is the best environment by far.

I think if jaguar has comprehensive service history it worth a buy I don't think you would regret Just put cash away monthly for maintenance. I have been in a 2.7 v6 diesel I have driven a 3.0 v6 2004 168k miles Insurance for me will be around 200 pound Road tax is 360 on 2004 era in general It was beautiful to drive. Just want to try v8 now. I will look to get one as a weekend toy My daily driver is a turbo diesel hyundai sante fe I recommend to have once in your life

I do have a soft spot for the XJ but the pre facelift x350 03-07 I believe it is but x358 07-09 with the side blades and restyled bumpers it’s an attempt to keep an old car looking modern and looks like an afterthought for me

Agreed, x350 is prettier than x358, and the v8's are more reliable (I have one too).

I've been a Jag XJ40 owner, I will at some point get one of these. As a Jaguar lover, I think Jaguar should have gone closed after they've stopped the production of this legendary model. The Jaguar nowadays are not Jaguar. The entire car industry it's fucked.
