Born in 1957, finished High School in 1975, married in 1979. We lived the 70s with new superstars emerging everyday, when charting in the top ten was a monumental achievement with all of the EXCELLENT competition in those days! This song is TREMENDOUS! It reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in January 1978 and stayed there for three weeks. What a group! What a performance!

It's funny, I watch 20 somethings out in clubs and when a band takes requests, more often than not, the requests are for OUR music...and they know ALL THE WORDS TOO. If that's not a recommendation and proof positive that OUR music was the best!

I'm a 55 yr old dude born in 1968. I feel like I grew up in the perfect "sweet spot" of music. Exposed to my grandparents music, Big Band, Sinatra and Martin as well as my parents, Elvis and 50's Doo Wop along with Motown and ALL the 60's hits. The 70's & 80's music was the "soundtrack" of my youth. I saw the beginning of MTV! I feel back then (mostly) songs were about "celebrating" women, they were a "prize" worth working or fighting for to have a relationship with, even if it didn't last forever. Emotions were involved. Now it just seems like women are just "conquests." Also the woman seem fine with being objectified. Which is too bad. They should know their worth.

We (the 1960-70-80s generation ) have left nothing for this generation. We used all of the good material within a 20 year period and literally left nothing for the following generations to move forward with. All they can do now is make up bad obscene tunes or try to do covers of our music and cannot even touch the quality we had, even with AI.

Welcome to the soundtrack of my childhood growing up. I would listen to this song on my lil transistor radio at school along with all those other great bands from the 70s. Talk about spoilt for choice, I think we all took this fantastic music for granted and now look at us actively seeking it out trying to relive our childhood 🤷‍♂️. Ambrosia was also on the top of the list "Biggest Part Of Me", "How Much I Feel" and "You're The Only Woman " are favourites. As for fans name suggestions "GEN Zzzzz" kinda picked itself 😂

Guys need to quit talking about sex and booty--and start singing and speaking about LOVE to women. You older guys need to start teaching these young men that girls need to be WOOED---that means men need to open up their heart and soul to women. Unless you share your heart with her, she will stay curled up tight emotionally to protect herself from being taken advantage of. You need to be vulnerable FIRST to create the environment so she can TRUST you. Unless she feels loved, cherished and protected, you will NEVER experience REAL intimacy. She cannot give all of herself to you until she can trust you. Today's guys might know physical mechanics of sex---but they know absolutely nothing about how to make a woman feel loved and cherished. Put it back in your pants, guys and learn how to ROMANCE a girl, if you really want to win her heart, and not just get in her pants. Men everywhere need to break out their old Boom Boxes and play 1970's music and love songs everywhere they go. The only way to fight all the hatred of today is with LOVE. Teach these young people about LOVE, not sex, if you want a revival. What was the big deal in the 1960's LOVE, Baby LOVE---and look at the music it produced in the 1970's..... Help the young men of today you older guys---get out there and introduce them to the kind of music that women today are absolutely FAMISHED for....
