I am a Black Woman born in the early 70s, and my parents used to play this song in the early 80s, and that is how I remember this song. It was one of their favorite songs. Plus, my goodness the entire group are so handsome 😍and they sing to well too.

The singer and lead guitarist is Peter Beckett; his performance makes this song a classic

I was born in 1970 but my dad gave me his talent and love for music. This song was one of MANY he introduced me to from when I was born and on. Songs from the late 1950's and on. He died in 2016, but I still think of him with every song I hear! I ended up being a singer and bass player in a band that performed contemporary classics and this song was one of the songs in our line up. I LOVE this song!

NO IT WAS FANTASTIC And Baby come back came out in 1977

Some songs you have to warm up to, but this classic 70s tune just melts you inside the very first time you hear it. Baby Come Back is just so beautiful and heartfelt.

I LOVED this song when I was 8 and I STILL LOVE THIS SONG at 52, it is one of my all-time favourites from this era. Loved your reaction. Peter Beckett is one talented songwriter and singer. FUN FACT: Did you know the guitarist in the orange outfit is Ronn Moss? When the band broke up, he went on to acting as Ridge Forrester in The Bold and the Beautiful from 1987 to 2012 (25 years!)

It was next to Sara Smile by Hall & Oates and How Much I Feel by Ambrosia one of the very few songs by a White Artist played on an R & B Radio Station in Ohio.
