Back At That Time,, The Word "Player" Didn't Mean What That Word Means Now.

One of the guys in this band went on to be a huge soap opera star on a TV called The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS - I think his characters name was Ridge Forrester ... ( don't ask me how or WHY I remember useless information like that... Lol!)

I've never heard this before but it reminds me so strongly of the music my Mum would play in the car when I was little. Thanks for the introduction!

Sometimes a band get shelved or they cant write another hit. There's a myriad of problems and circumstances in writing a hit song while beholden to owners of said label. Now its way different.

70's music and especially Disco was just.... so.... *chef's kiss* The musicianship, songwriting, production was all at such a high level. I miss music like this. Another song from this time period that you *have* to listen to is Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty.

LOL. "Player" as in masters of their craft as players of instruments. Back then the word didn't have the street meaning it has now. I was 17 years old and these white boys surprised the hell out of us. Perfect song if you ask me. Love when a hit takes you through different keys instead of just one vibe the whole song through like so many songs today. Even the best vibe gets boring to me if it lasts more than 30 seconds.
