    @@stephendunn8782 626 Ah, derived from 260 x 2407 mAh for average cell capacity. Perhaps easier to convert single cells to Wh first (2.407Ah x 3.6V = 8.67 Wh) and then multiply by 260 x 14 to get the total capacity of 31.5 kWh. Amp hours are pretty meaningless without knowing the voltage and batteries have wildly different voltages from 1V to 800+V, so we should always use kWh as the unit of capacity as this is independent of how the cells are arranged: so: 1S3640P would be 8,765 Ah @ 3.6V and 3640S1P is 2.4 Ah @ 13.1 kV ! but both are 31.5 kWh.

    nice to see your UPS working as inverter only and not burn yet. as far as I know they are supposed to charge from the grid more than discharge from the battery. and do it without the care with the battery wasting energy. losses maybe at 30% or more is not a problem. I hope you someday improve your nice system using one dedicated inverter and need less batteries. have a plan and thinking is like a war. the start is defined but the end no one know 😀 nice video! keep working !

    What are you using for cell monitoring thermally? and cooling..after seeing HBPowerwall cell degredation lately from used/free/old cells, having that much power in your basement...seems like each rack should have some method of putting itself out, if it does go into thermal run-away

  • @AveRage_Joe

    @AveRage_Joe

    At this current time is the batrium longmons with the temp sensors on them which is connected to shunt trip. Yeah having all the cells in the basement is NOT ideal. I may be moving them. Also if your are not aware those are not his battery packs. They were anothers. Another thing I do is use glass fuses that pop at 2a. In the future after my next pack build I plan to start using LiFePO4 which is much safer.

    Hi Joe, nice update, still a shit load of work. How is the difference in bank size going to affect things? 100p vs 160p , a lot of capacity difference, does the Batrium have the ability to release a pack from the bank when its charge state gets too low ? During a power outage, the 100p will go first. What happens when the first 100p gets to pack cutoff voltage. Fine work, 🤔💭💣💥

  • @AveRage_Joe

    @AveRage_Joe

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thanks and Yeah lol shit load of work🤣 Weeeelllllll I have 2 options to hook the next 14s up. 1st option is to parallel the 48v ends. 2nd option would be to parallel the packs themselves which is what I think I will end up doing for the reasons you mention. So the packs will end up being 260p once all said and done. I dont think batrium has the option to disconnect a string however you could make it do that through relays on the expansion board and another shunt trip/relay or contactor.

    @@AveRage_Joe so you would place a 160 pack on the shelf beside its 100 unit and tie them there. Your 14s260p system would still be in the one rack, can the rack wheels support that much ? 14S260P damn, what will it take to bring the bank up to full charge ? 🤔💭💣💥

I will achieve ROI but maybe at a slower pace at this current time as I only have the powerwall powering my fridge and basement 24/7. Once I can get more connected to the powerwall ROI will go quicker. Ill probly need a split phase inverter to do that as there seems to be many circuits in my main panel that are "connected" somewhere else in the walls or ceiling so I cant separate them...as of yet.
