@jehugarcia I was looking at Sony's website for the VT6 cells -- one listing shows 30A continuous with 80C circuit cut-off, and another shows 15A continuous w/o temperature sensor... I'm assuming these cells are 15A because they are naked cells unless you have something like a Batrium cell monitor that can check the temperature?

Do you include detailed instructions with diy power wall batteries?

I got some 32650s for $2.99 each that ended up being unwrapped. Charged them once I'm scared to touch them until I do something to them lol. I've learned how to not make them spark/smoke though it's a technique!

Hey -- I see the VT6's for sale, but just boxes of 200. Are you going to list smaller quantities? ( 2, 4, 10, 20, 50, 100 )?

@@jehugarcia yeah I saw portable electric vehicles video with the Bajaboard that you met him in NYC to look at and mentioned it will hit 50mph and I think he went 12s10p from 2 separate packs that are 6s5p I think. I just don't wanna go full on like he did replacing the ESC and BMS. I would like to keep these stock parts and just majorly upgrade the batteries for better range and speed. I have the 550Wh battery pack and I know they make a 900Wh battery pack.

Cant wait for those smaller batches. Finally finish up one project and start my next one. Just dont trust the ones I see on Ebay, rather order from someone I know and trust. Well as much as a viewer can to a creator.

Just a quick question. I have a liito kala battery tester and have noticed that it will not completely charge my cells back up to 4.2v when it has finished testing the cells. As it only charges them to around 4.17-4.18v. So when I leave them for two weeks to see if the voltage drops I can’t tell if they how much they have dropped because I don’t know what voltage they were at in the first place unless I use a multimeter and write the voltage on the cell. Thanks

4.2 is recommended charging voltage, not charged up voltage!! yes charger keeps the 4.2V until current is less then ~70mA-100mA. 0.02-0.03V is not the indicator for something wrong. Check the datasheets. e.g. engineering.tamu.edu/media/4247819/ds-battery-panasonic-18650ncr.pdf and check resistance

You can buy refurbished and/or re-wrapped ones from Aliexpress for 2-3€ a piece, from shops like LiitoKala. The thing with those is though that some might be less than original capacity.

Sure, that seems like a good seller. Some sellers on Aliexpress are legit too according to the reviews. And my 1kWh+ battery I bought from a seller on that site hasn't blown up yet. I'll consider nkon.nl when I need 18650.

Jehu- You have minimum quantity on the Sony power cells as 200 but offer tge Panny storage cells in smaller 180 and 30 quantities (opposite what you say in the video). Mind offering the Sony in the the smaller 30 size quantity ? It would be impossible to try and fit 200 cells onto my ebike 😛) - thanks buddy !

yeah this guy was shady. I ordered 1200 of the first batch. finally got that last of them after 10 weeks. Kept sending out small batches and lying about how many were sent. Some boxes showed up busted open cause he did a crap job of packaging. didn't get 1200 of the 3200 panasonic's only got 1160 and he put 40 of the 2600s in :( Got tired of fighting with him. And the cells show up in packs not like what was reviewed. That guy was just bad all around.

My email saying I was getting a refunded just came yesterday, but no email telling me the order was going to be cancelled. Today's was the first I heard about the live chat mentioning the issue. Seems if there was only 30 of us we should have been notified there was an issue since we put the cash out for product that you are acting as the middle man and didn't have any stock to ship.

@@jehugarcia Yes and no ... I need to have a discussion with Rich about it. The packs are designed to be cooled, and while they do have a thermal cutoff and fuses ... they are designed to have circulation. I think when Rich used them in that little Disney runabout he decided to go without any cooling, and was running the batteries past their limits

How can they say 10A when they reach 70C+? The cells will die after like 100 cycles at that operating temp

Christian, those are legit cells, not chinese made. That's actually a good deal. You can tell the difference between chinese and japanese cells. Most name brand cells you buy from china are rewraps. Ev west needs batteries too so they won't let these go much cheaper because they'll end up paying more down the road. It's a great deal for genuine new batteries. These are direct from the manufacturer. I know what the new packaging looks like and there is no doubt they are legit. Cost may seem high but I am confident the company that bought all 150,000 cells paid more than the price they are being offered. If you build a project with these cells they will last you a long time.

@@Cloxxki well since the vape industry is booming the demand for this battery is rising as well , greedy china rewraps old recycled batteries or fakes, they sell faulty or bad batteries and brand it as new ones .. They falsely claiming its capabilities is the best for example they have large MAh or Amps discharge up to 40A.. soo its hard for vapers to find a good safe and powerful battery to use .. because vaping drains amps up to 20A which most 18650 with 15A safe discharge ..

I ordered three boxes of the VTC6 cells, got confirmation emails and a UPS tracking number, but nothing shipped. Messaged about this, got a reply that it would be looked into, then silence. I sent several follow-ups but no reply. You guys actually getting your packs? Is Jehu overworked, lazy, or a scammer? It's been over a month since I ordered, gotta decide what to do next. Ain't happy about it.

Smaller minimum order quantity please. I mainly use them for flashlights and vapes and need about 20.
