There are variety of choices in 18650 battery made in china. The 18650 is not a consumer standard, the channel that reaches consumer is chaos and mostly illegal (some are disqualified waste from factory, some are disassembly from electric waste). The reliable way to get those is to place order in batches to qualified factory or get them from disassembling qulaity yet cheap power bank like XiaoMi.

This channel is using a different way to demonize Chinese, westerners like to fabricate fake video to demonize China and finally fool people with no brain, it is disgusting, firstly, using the CHEAPEST China products to compare to the most branded non China product itself is ridiculous, secondly, the price of the China product mentioned in the video is more than 10 times cheaper in China than the price you mentioned in the video, so who you actually pay most of the price of the product to? The answer is THE IMPORTER AND MIDDLE MAN in your country. The real fact is CCP is already the current biggest high-tech entrepreneur and capitalist in the world, China contributes the most to the world and western countries grab the most with even inhuman measurements, it sounds ridiculous right? Use your brain to think further when you come across anything about China from westerners, western people are too jealous about the returning of the China power and tried very hard to fabricate fake videos, spread rumors to demonize China, shamelessness is continue until they destroy themselves with their inferior personality. I would like a hammer test on these. I work in electronics recycling and these 18650 batteries starts like 99% of fires at our factory. I would like to know if some are more prone to bursting in to flames when mangled than others or if it is just dependent on their charge state. If you do test it, do it outside on a windy day, the smoke is definitely not good for you. Also, don't use water to put it out or have a source of it nearby, it not only worsens the fire but it also creates more of the very poisonous hydrogen fluoride gas that is generated by the burning of lithium hexafluorophosphate.

@@Ormagoden94 What? The batteries in vape pens are usually lithium polymer, they aren't nearly as bad as 18650. Also, did they get killed by poisoning? There's no way the explosion from a small lithium polymer battery could kill someone unless they held it pressed right next to an artery or something. Or was there a time and place that 18650 was common in vape pens? Those would be a serious hazard and I could see that being able to kill someone.

  • @maximilianmustermann5763

@@skitidet4302 There are a lot of bigger vape machines that use 2x 18650 batteries. You need those if you want to do up to 200 W sub-ohm vaping (meaning the coil has as little as 0.1 ohm resistance). They are more fun than the pens because they can produce a huge amount of vapor, but they fell a little out of favor because only massive douchebags used them in public spaces. They can basically be turned into fog generators with the right liquid. On the other hand, these are not a danger at all if you buy good 18650 cells like the Murata (former Sony) VTC5 or VTC6 and if you are a little careful with the cells. Put some additional shrink-wrap over them to prevent exposed metal, only transport them in silicon "socks" or battery boxes, and only use good, reliable charging devices. I've been using them at home for many years and never had a problem nor have I ever been worried. I mean, I used to do some rc model drone flying. Those high-amp drone LiPos can give you the creeps. But brand-name high-quality 18650s? No, they're fine. (I never crush them or hit them with hammers)

@Lics Norgi Okay, lets see how well you do using a foreign language that you have no or limited knowledge of; and on top of that, lets make that foreign language use an entirely different written system, as using a common alphabet isn't comparable from going from Chinese to English. You can't really complain about someone else's use of a language when you clearly don't fully understand the language itself, try teaching yourself some grammar, so you can actually look literate. Things such as capitalizing 'Chinese,' putting an apostrophe in 'can't,' maybe try adding a comma after 'dumb' as well, you might also want to add 'people' after 'Chinese.' Also, when using, "... craps," do you mean to use 'pieces of crap'? Not to mention the, "... fake...,' part of that statement is outright false, what makes them fake? They're an _alternative_ product; if they were fake they just wouldn't work, at all, like a dummy place holder. If you don't understand what an alternative product is, look at name brands and generic brands that offer the same product. Typical hypocritical, uneducated, racist scum, it seems, as you clearly don't know what grammar is, can't form a proper statement, use proper logic, have any kind of informed opinion, and you single out a specific people when the situation could happen to any foreign people. Please, keep your toxicity to yourself. Nobody wants to see your racist, hypocritical, uneducated, and uniformed opinions. If you feel the need to be racist, go seek help.

Ikr ? This guy is dedicated to helping the "little guy"/consumer. Which, if you think about it, alot of companies don't even care about. They just want your $100-300 for a project and then you learn, if I had spent +$20-50 bucks on this other brand, it would last longer. Or if I had purchased this item, it would save your money. I'm surprised "consumer report" hasn't tried to buy his silence.

Those made under the CCP are bound to have fraudulent markings because they can't help lying about anything. They even deny the genocides they commit in full view of even privately-owned satellites, so to ask if they also lie about battery capabilities is like asking if fleas bite - of course they do, it is in their nature.
