Would this freeze well? I may try to halve the recipe as this would be too much for just myself and my son. I have perfect sized pan for the small quantity too! I'm craving Italian cake !!!

I’ve never tried to freeze it, however you can cut the recipe or bake the cake in smaller pans and freeze the extra cake without the custard.

Hiya from England i'm going to try this but not right now as were in a heatwave its been around 90 degrees for the 10 days. I have come across a great recipe for proper confectioners custard but my take is instead of the milk i use Mascarpone. its really creamy

Hi new subscriber I am from Perth Western Australia .Thank you for sharing your video and adding your recipes on the description I noticed in one of the comments you said it was a 10in pan. Thank you for that also. Can you please tell what flour do you use, here in Australia we have selfrasing or plain flour. Thank you once again, Can't wait to try it out. Stay safe 🙂

I made this and the custard didn't taste good. Is it right to use flour in the custard instead of corn flour, as I have always done before
