she is unlike the other foals - but all too familiar she will come around until then I will treat her with the respect of a wild horse and earn her trust

You are doing an amazing job at working with her and not forcing her to change more quickly. The time you take now shows up later in how much easier it is to train them to be great horses for the rest of their lives. That connection with people is what keeps horses in one home for more of their lifetime and less changing from home to home. Well done and hopefully she does pick up anything from all those ticks!

I would name her Pearl. Pitiful Pearl. My mom use to call me that when I was a little girl & get upset. When I was little I suffer from Separation Anxiety. I had a lot of trama my first five years of my life. Including being viciously mauled by the neighbors gaurd dog, then breaking my left leg in two places, from getting my foot caught in bicycle spokes, while rolling down a hill.. Just to mention a couple tramas my first five years of life. Losing her mom & having to go ride in a truck to the vets, having strange people pulling ticks off of her. I can relate to her missing her mom. Just because she's a (pitiful) Pearl, doesn't mean she isn't strong. Pearl's are tough & beautiful. Her eyes are the color of blue water! ❤

Great name
À small contribution for the vet cost.
So CUTE...she is lucky to have you helping her and giving her such wonderful care!❤
Camille you are so beautiful & blessed. Ty for all you do. Blessings from South Dakota
If she is a couple weeks old, she may have a better chance at survival, even if leaving the horse world for the human is more difficult.
She’s so adorable. You are so wonderful devoting your time to helping this abandoned foal.
What would cause her mom to abandon her - I never understand how the instinct to mother allows them to run off with the herd and leave their baby behind.
She's so pretty! Even when she's being a grump, hahaha 😍
