Exactly. Even if we give them the benefit of the doubt and believe they didn’t know, by denying the existence of their body worn camera policy, it can only mean they’ve always failed to comply with a policy that they’re obliged to follow, therefore they must’ve recorded thousands of people without informing them.

@@ReggiePhoto He has to tell you is recording because we have a right not to be spied on by our gov which they are employed by if no laws broken and as you said it's policy etc, which is something you could have accused him of and anyone else who doesn't inform you of their recording you. Comes under article8 human rights act and you can have Investigatory Powers Tribunal investigate further along with a lawyer if you want one but not needed at that stage.

It's a shame all that 'suspicion' is not directed towards real crime, my home got attacked, windows put through, the police had no suspicion and very little interest !

So although they were on their way to an Emergency, they stopped to speak to someone who was not breaking the law, imagine what would happen if the call they should have been going to, because of the delay, someone was injured or died? I doubt there would have been consequences. How you manage to not say, "will you please bugger off, I'm doing nowt wrong" I wouldn't have the patience.

I agree, but I believe they fail to comply with policy not because they’re unaware of it, but because they choose not to. Either way it’s unacceptable and shows they’re unfit for the job. In pretty much any other job, if you don’t follow the rules, you’re out the door, but for some reason police seem to get away with rule breaking on a massive scale.

And once again, stopping people to ask why they are looking-in to the police station (as suspicious) when it is overlooked by residential properties that can look-in 24x7. Madness.

If only plod spent as much time trying to catch criminals as they do questioning you, maybe, just maybe, they'd be less criminals out there? But then again, they don't have the brain power to police properly. They're just revenue collectors, a sort of bus conductor with tasers!

In 2012 the building required a L2.5 million recladding; in 2018 interior spaces were refurbished and security upgrades made. Evidently if a wonderful person in public with camera and transparency are a security concern, those 2018 security upgrades made with public money were a waste.

You could walk through the back streets at night safely from the railway station at night back then. I shall always remember a bomb disposal team blowing up a homeless man's worldly belongings, in a suitcase, in the square about 100m facing the Palace Pier, one Sunday morning. Seems to me there are always police officers available to harass a member of the public with a camera. But never available when a real crime is committed. Are they scared of the crooks?
