That k/d ratio for the Soviets was abysmal even with major help from the zionist allies and the disadvantage the Germans had with a two front war. This evoked such a visceral reaction within me I cried because this was so good. This really reminded me why I took up animation. The imagery and music really ties it all together. The build up of the bird juxtaposed with all the beautiful couples and other people followed by the overwhelming instruments as the bird flies over head. Chills, I really felt like a kid watching a cartoon through out all of it. Then all the workers kicking ass with their super bird made up of collective birds. Peace and beauty returns as all the people enjoy their lives once again.

Они так героически любят рассказывать, как пили кофе с круассанами с немцами днём и строчили Британии сведения о войсках из своих уютных квартир по ночам, что просто отвращение питаешь к таким "союзничкам". Я не принижаю вклад других народов, но переоценить вклад СССР в победу невозможно, т.к. без него действия всех союзников и партизан были бы совершенно бесполезны. Героизм партизан Югославнии, Греции, Польши - не принижаю. А китайцы - вообще пострадали больше всех, но об этом почему-то никто не помнит

Без Ленд-лиза - да, было бы сложнее. Но всё равно бы победили, т.к. первые и решающие сражения проходили когда американская помощь ещё не подоспела. А без Москвы, Сталинграда, Катюш и Т-34 - у британцев вообще не было бы ни единого шанса. Второй фронт открылся уже когда мы немцев гнали в шею Ну а заслуга американцев, что "Япония напала на них, а не на СССР" - и вовсе что-то странное. Думаете, японцы там монетку подбрасывали, решая, на кого же им напасть, чтобы продолжить экспансию? Да нет. Они на Хасане и Халхин-Голе отхватили, а потом долго ещё посматривали на пограничные советские дивизии с опаской - потому что СССР даже в самое тяжёлое время держал достаточно резервов, чтобы предотвратить вторжение. И американцы, на которых японцы напали с целью захвата тихоокеанских островов, тут не при чём

Only together in the world, ordinary people (workers, engineers, farmers and peasants, military, artists and others), people of all peoples and races of both sexes, will be able to equally build a prosperous unified human community, where not the market and profit will be the main thing, but creation and knowledge for a better life for all will be the main thing people, not a bunch of elites. That short makes me remember about a movie I watched months ago called "The Boy and the World" and uses the same bird logic, but they don't win this war. They lose, and the black bird be stronger than before with the technology advance, destroying thousands of florest and all that stuff. That's crazy if we think a little concept created years ago is "now" reused to create other discussions (the movie premiere in 2014) and I guess we need more concepts about this bird association, about others technologies, environment, wars and all those stuff to make the population more (or just a little) conscious about those global problems.

I am surprised that the Soviet cartoon did not show that only the USSR won the whole war. Of the horrors of the war, only the bombing of Africa was shown, and the fact that 27000000 people died in the USSR during the war was not mentioned

Why did they have to go and make the fascist bird such a cutie patootie? I know I'm supposed to dislike him but I just can't get mad at that such a cool-looking beast. Also not sure why they used doves out of all possible birds to represent the efforts of the USSR and the West; it was our willingness to use force, not pacifism, which destroyed fascism in WWII. Pretty nifty stuff nonetheless.

The dove is an international symbol of peace created by the Spanish communist Pablo Picasso. This symbol has nothing to do with pacifism. And this cartoon demonstrates that it is necessary to fight fiercely for peace.

​@@POCKET-SAND lol, what? Actually, Poland and Germany jointly invaded Czechoslovakia. Soviet Union tried to send aviation to help Czechs and Poland refused to let them fly over Poland. Moreover, Soviets signed Molotov-Ribentrop after trying to make alliance with Britain or France. Brits themselves tried to make alliance with Hitler even during the WWII. Of course, it doesn't get Soviet's guilt off for occuping Baltic states and the war with Finland to create a buffer zone between Moscow and Berlin. Nevertheless, you should consider other sources of historical education, not only KZread.

@@user-gq3mm2xl6z Actually, the Poles did not have any formal agreement with the Germans. They simply moved in and took the small region they wanted without any kind of coordination with the Germans. Soviet Union didn't do squat, just as they later act while Germany was taking over almost all of Europe. They did nothing until the Germans came to them. In the meantime, they did sign a military alliance with Germany: the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. This is something no other Allied country did before or during the war. There were even brief talks in 1940 of the USSR joining the Axis Powers, but they didn't go anywhere. Even before this, the Soviets had agreements with the Germans throughout the 1930s to test out new military equipment on Soviet territory in order to get around the restrictions imposed on Germany by the Treaty of Versailles. NO other Allied nation aided Germany more than the USSR did in the lead-up and beginning of WWII. I suggest you start getting information from sources that aren't communist propaganda.

It's pretty hard to really take the supposed "anti-imperialist" message seriously when you realize that, at the time, the Soviet Union was essentially still acting as a prison for many of the people that had been previously colonized by the russian empire, with no real attempts made to end the "great russian chauvinism" that persisted throughout its existence.

Leave it to the soviets to make something only just passable on quality but rife with political messaging. 😂 I know why but what’s with the red tint. Makes half the thing just an absolute pain to look at. You don’t have to be THAT on the nose all the time that the audiences face literally is awash in red hue the entire piece. 😂😂😂
