    I was born in Glasgow in 1948, ran away in 1966 and never lived there again, became an alcoholic and drug abuser in the 60s and 70s and got clean and sober in 1984. If you take the first step and realize there is a problem in your life and that problem is booze and dope then thats the very first thing you deal with, everything will fall into place once you achieve sobriety. trust me on that. YOU take the first step, not the treatment centre, not your mates, YOU...

    We tried to help them out but the English shot down the idea of injection rooms, safe drug practice. So im ngl mate, its thr tories again who are helping this bollocks continue by thinking making drugs illegal makes them harder to get. The psychoactive ban of 2016 still isn't working, still plenty of spice about the jails and down south... When people say "sort it out" that generally means wasting more tax money on pointless raids when we export nearly most of the legal heroin (some of which goes to Switzerland and their heroin program, oh the irony), we import nearly most of the medical cocaine and export legal cannabis. The foundations are clearly there to sort it with a proper approach but as per, England and Wales don't want to do shit or help... "more police" Westminster thinks.

Aids and deaths dropped up to 50% each and crime dropped roughly 36-38%). There is a country we export heroin to and the facts show its working out better in the long term for them than in the UK or America. You don't read too much into drugs other than propaganda, do you ?. Also You want to talk about America ?, well here's some facts, heroin only kills 15,000 people in the US even through a so called "opioid epidemic". methamphetamine only kills 3000-5000 people yearly, yet alcohol kills 88,000... my point is proven, by numbers alone, since everyone likes to point out deaths about drugs. Imagine randomly calling people who share different opinions, leftists... leftists aka commies don't like drugs, go to china or North korea and you'll find that out, fast. Remember, Libertarian, not leftist. One wants social freedom, one wants to restrict social freedom. You dont want to be a commie do you ?.

  • @grahamek86

    @Reeko BzaR No, your words were literally "its actually only glaswegian people". Within Glasgow you've got Newton Mearns, Dowanside, Jordan Hill, Hillhead and Bearsden to name a few. Glasgsow is the only city that hasn't relied on an external workforce to become economically successful. Edinburgh has the English run banks, and Aberdeen has the oil and gas industry where 75%+ of the workforce are non Scottish workers. It's easy to poke fun at Glasgow due to the proportionally higher levels of deprivation, but it was and is Scotlands industrial city and without it would have set back Britains efforts in the World Wars. Glasgow saw a lot of damage from bombings, nowhere else in Scotland mattered.

  • @grahamek86

    @grahamek86

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Reeko BzaR That's fair enough and I appreciate the concession there. I've spent a lot of time working through Scotland before I moved to New Zealand and the other areas tend to present differently because of their limited exposure to press. Living in New Zealand, I get regular comments from Kiwis who have traveled Scotland that they feel other accents don't represent the Scottish accent properly. If you're brought up within a specific linguistic bubble, you'll always find commonality with those that are similar. The Glaswegian accent (not so much the bam/ned/chav accents) is pretty unique in that it was voted the most trusted within the UK for call center voices but also the most aggressive and dominant in a conflicting situation. I guess my issue is with the original wording of "it's only Glaswegians" but I believe stems from a deep rooted dislike/prejudice against people from Glasgow. Even the harshest Glaswegian accent has a chance of being translated against full on Fifer or Dorich nonsense.

I started drinking a lot when I was 15 and Im 35 now. 2 months ago I started ramping down my consumption and I finally stopped drinking all together 2 weeks ago. Yes it's hard, but if you want to make your life better you have to want to do it.

    I grew up in Scotland. I was a boxer 10 years so was handy as a kid. Never felt the need to use a blade. Although I saw it a lot. And I have been stabbed. And nearly lost my pinky finger on my left hand. But it was attached again. It was the weak thing to do. Use a knife. For the ferals and degenerates. Its not seen as a brave thing to do. But people are also scared of the kids willing to stoop low enough to use a knife in a fight. Its a reputation in itself. Hes not "hard" but hes a wee mad stabber and he will cut you if you get too close. And that in itself is a kind of power. Power made with fear that these kids thrive on. They dont care if they are seen as scum because they usually come from generations of scum anyway. Then as people get older. The violence usually orientates to buisness. Drug dealing. Drug debt. Suddenly its not fights over where your from or religion or football. Its cold hard cash. And a knife or a gun is not the cowardly thing anymore. Its the standard tools of the trade. These mobs of kids are the symptom of a bigger problem and become like training for the real problem to happen again and again. The welfare system allowing non workers to live off the state and the Drug dealing and junky epidemic in these community areas of Scotland is the problem. Most of those kids will become one or the other a junky or a dealer. And thats why the life expectancy is so low. They become scumbag dealers and get stabbed. Or junky fucks and rot. Tackle those issues. Change the poverty culture these kids grow up in. By ending welfare and making people work for a living and give them back their dignity. Change the law so that you can only vote in an election if you have a job. That will get the politicians and the police more interested in wiping out drug dealing and junkys and getting people back in work because they will lose voters. Stop allowing this degenerate behaviour to continue with weakness. Thats what needs to change. The fact a smackhead has the same voting power as a person who works 80-100 hours a week and pays for that smackheads healthcare, home and kids is rediculous. Nothings changed in 30 years because thats when the govenment started welfare and bred these fucking schemes. Full of lazy degenerates who never work and take drugs all day and created this violent culture that infected the scottish youth for generations. No job. No vote. And you watch the culture change. Would stop the filth from all over the world flooding into the uk too for a free ride. Welfare is the problem. Take away their vote. You have the power in the hands of the people who deserve it. The workers and good people of Scotland who pay for everything and get shat on.
