As a french person i feel like i could explain a little bit of what's going on. When they enter the Font-Vert estate for the 2 guys interview the kids shouting are here to look out and they're called "guetteurs". They scream "Arah" which means that the cops entered the zone. The people you see rushing in the buildings are dealers who sell inside the hall. When polices comes they run to the appartments and hide inside so they don't get caught.

This is what I like about Ross's show. It's not all about flashy action and gruesome scenes. He gets the perspective of people who live the life day in day out and gives us a real detailed description of what the issue is, where they lie and what can be done ( if anything ) .

Probably no better training then being a Mitchell in Eastenders. Also I don't know if all of them come from the East end but certainly quite a lot of them do in Eastenders. I read Danny Dyer's book and about him growing up in the East end. To put it into perspective I think this is where Jack the Ripper was. But Danny said there are lots of gangs in the area, most of them are poor and don't get noticed. It's basically one of the very low places in London from what I understand. Lots of gangs, drinking, crimes etc. Whereas the West End is poor wealthy, theatre, lots of shops and basically one of the main areas that people tend to travel in London. I think there is particularly a divide between the East and West, because the West I think is where Downing Street and Buckingham Palace or one of the many palaces anyway. I think it's more where the rich and celebrities are, so if you come from the East, you are very close to this, you can see the difference and wonder why you don't get the same treatment. It's a massive problem in the big cities but especially London and I think it is similar to USA from what have heard and seen. I'm guessing it's the same in Europe, and people wonder why it's the poor people who end up being terrorists or getting into gangs. I'm guessing it comes from the slave days. Except it's just stayed the same instead of no one doing anything or at least trying to help. Like the guy said just one job and it would probably make a difference, instead they get money from drugs because they have to get money some how. But this way makes them look bad and so people stay away, so they don't get a job, and so it goes around in a circle.

I. Cruz I can guarantee u Marseille would be the model safe city if it were in Brazil. This video’s an extreme over exaggeration of Marseille. I looked up it’s murder statistics and I found that it’s typically between 30-40 homicides a year which is nothing compared to cities in Brazil or the USA. It is true Marseille is one of the more dangerous cities in Europe, but think about the fact that Europe is generally one of the safest places in the world and that when they say Marseille is the most dangerous there, they’re comparing it to cities like Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, etc. which have no homicides.
Job creation is very important to a country Creating jobs is key Youth are very idle
I truly HATED Marseille when I visited years ago. There was one incident in particular where I was convinced we were going to get at least badly beaten by a group of youths. They surrounded me and my girlfriend and kept asking to have group sex with her in an alleyway (classy!) and weren’t letting us go. In the middle of the argument my gf just casually walked off into the train station, things somehow died down and they left. But for a couple long minutes I was truly convinced we were in serious trouble. We left on a 5am train the next morning and I would never go back. Aside from that incident the whole city was a dump and people were aggressive everywhere. It wasn’t a pleasant place to be

Marseille is a special city like Napoli.
Solution is very simple .Fight fire with FIRE , meaning either arm up a large group of cops, citizens with background checks and such, to the teeth , arm them much better than any gang banger can and make a Citizen Militia that will make the roaches tremble OR send in the Army as one of Marseille's mayors said . Because the situation is eventually gonna come to it by its self , but better DO IT sooner rather than latter .
Marseille plus belle ville du monde ça bouge pas

Watching Ross Kemp has made me realise that most first world countries have one or two third world country-like areas. The uk has areas in Glasgow full of drugs and homelessness, the US has pretty much left New Orleans’ communities to rot after Katrina, France has this, Italy has gangs etc

bullshit. We're way better in the UK compared to this shithole... no offense to Marseilles. And I've been to Paris 3 times and their suburbs, all around the city, are simply awful and full of thugs. Big balls on Ross to go there.

I understand they don't want bricks in their apartments in case the police raid them and know you've been launching them off the balcony, but how do you explain a pile of massive ice blocks?
