Yeah, but was dominant at the end and if the fight would have went on he came out on top. Islam is one of the most dominant fighters in the UFC and Volk nearly beat him. Plus Islam is a cardio machine and Alex was visibly the fresher fighter at the end. He was super impressive. P4P the best for sure

The amazing well-roundedness of Volkanovski reminds me of Demetrious Johnson during the era he had the flyweight division on lockdown. Although Mighty Mouse never garned the same popularity and respect as Volk, it is nice to finally see a smaller dude getting the well deserved props.

Volk just has that stellar attitude. Down to earth, seems to have no need to overhype himself yet self aware of his strengths and never talks himself down. The biggest thing I notice with Volk is his fight-IQ is insane. He's able to make adjustments so fast in the same round in a way that others either don't or are unable too. This video, alone, puts this Michael Chandler as one of the absolute best things to ever happen to the fighting world, ever, and I’m standing by that. What this man just did for a fellow fighter, cannot be put into words. The absolute highest possible honour/privilege and humility come to mind, but even then, barely scratch the surface. One of the greatest to watch, ACTIVE AND CEREBRALLY SENTIENT, fighters, just said all this. Just think about that for a wee moment.
