Two years ago we were told batteries were getting below $100 per kwh, but batteries at consumer level are still at around 10x that. Even considering the charge and inverter functions are contained within these units, prices are extremely high. These companies are literally cashing in, hopefully in time hopefully not long competition will mean prices become reasonable

I was lucky enough to obtain one of these units from their very discounted kickstarter campaign, but remember too if you’re in the US you are entitled to a 30% cleaner energy tax credit for home battery backup, and/or solar electric technologies, so you’ll essentially be reimbursed a third of the cost come tax time :) , and that goes for home owner or renter making the upgrade.

True on the $100/kWh but that is only for the production cost. The additional cost of integration+BMS+extra software and features needs to be added. Add some margin for the manufacturar and some extra for resellers/shops ... that explains it. Also it is a fairly new market for moveable energy storage so prices will go down overtime as competition and production output allows.

Remember too that this unit allows you to use the 120v and 240v outlets simultaneously, and has “amp up” feature that will allow up to 5,000w ac power, most likely with the aforementioned combination of outlets.

Hello John. Regarding GM’s Ultium platform, could you you give us an update. The Markets were disappointed to hear GM will be ending the Chevy Bolt. The rationale was, in part, because they want all their EV’s to use Ultium, which the Bolt does not use. I don’t trust much of what GM says, but there’s not a great deal of recent data comparing Ultium to other EV manufacturers batteries. Thanks.

Thanks for the video. I just got a 4600 unit and a B4600 battery. When the 4600 unit was plugged in, it says it had zero charge, and no power input from the AC wall unit. It just flashed exactly like your example at the 3:30 mark. Nothing I did had any impact on the 4600. I even plugged in the solar panels to see if it was a AC charging issue, but still no voltage was coming through the 4600. I plugged the panels into the B4600 battery and it showed 1.5kw input from the panels, so I know the panels and battery work. The app also show no input from the panels for the 4600 but does for the B4600. I've emailed Zendure and got a couple stalling replies such as take a screen shot to show us, then, take a video and show us, which I did. And nothing from them for 5 days now. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

@@UnitedStates. I think Zendure also has the 6400 unit that you can tie two together with the B6400 batteries to create a 64Kw power wall - essentially. That's probably cheaper than a power wall, but I haven't really looked into it tho. If you go that way, let us know how it works out, if I can afford it in the future, that's what I want to do also.

The UPS doesn't function as you describe, yes, you can run a device off the outlets and then unplug the cord going to the SBV and the device will continue to run, but the outlets have been running on battery the whole time. Unlike a real UPS which doesn't use the battery power until the main power is lost.

Be careful my friends. This company Zendure doesn't deliver the products you purchase. They sold me on these batteries but then won't give me the home panel required to set up my batteries. It's been a YEAR since my order. They keep pushing back the dates months at a time. First I was going to get it feb 2023 then MAy 2023, then October 2023, then November 2023. Still nothing. I wouldn't mind but when I purchased the batteries, I asked what other ancillary products are required to use my battery for my home and they told me there was nothing else required. Upon purchase, I now needed to buy additional items that they won't send me or provide a tracking number for.
