And on a side note, how much did it cost to install that transfer switch outside your house? Lastly, I’m SO glad you tested out riding that thing. You know your audience well. When the AC surges it gets up to around 1.8kw. The transfer switch was around $350, installation will vary on cost between $400-$1000.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE 240 V OUTPUT PLUG . I SAW AVERAGE JOE VIDEO ABOUT THIS UNIT THAT THE 240V IS NOT REALLY SPLIT PHASE . I DON'T KNOW IF THATS REALLY TRUE BUT HIS VIDEO SHOWS WHAT HAPPENED .🤨

I love mine. Seems to be hit or miss. Zendure seems to have closed their U.S. office. Customer service can be a bit of a challenge. Having said that if you get a unit that works fine out the box it seems you’re better off not updating software. I was part of the kickstarter campaign and fb group. This seems to be the consensus.

Planning on buying one for my house use only in an emergency. Could I put some solar panels on my roof and charge this unit directly. Seems like you could. Will this help in charging the unit up more quickly than the portable solar panel units. I know it will depend on the size of the solar panel units on my roof. I saw that you had some solar panels on your roof. Have you or can you test this unit using your roof top panels?

I'm trying to be absolutely sure that this power station can handle the power needed to run a 220/240 volts, 12,000 btu inverter air conditioner,and a medium size refrigerator at the same time. Before i buy one,have to make sure it works on my house a/c this 2024 hurricane season 🌀🤷🤔

No,I don't know. Is that information on the owners manual or on the aluminum plate on the left side of the indoor unit?

@@carlosantoniodeclet8005 It may be depending on the unit. AC's pull a lot more juice at start up than when running. Refrigerators are the same.

Still I don't have an answer to my question. What about running a soft start ,as you mentioned approximately at 8:49 of the video. Is a soft start a device you can get to help the AC power consumption at startup. If so, where can we buy one?

@@carlosantoniodeclet8005 Correct, a soft start helps with the startup surge for the AC unit. You would need to know the power consumption of the unit on startup to make sure it would work with your AC. I got mine from Active Controls,

@17:59: Uhhhhh, aren't you forgetting something ? Look what the little white printing says under the 240 Volt AC outlet. *"240 Volt AC 16Amp. Max." This is a serious deficiency and a damn near dangerous compromise !* You can't perform any measure of home backup with only 16 useless amps ! *Anything less than 30 Amps and 7000 Watts cannot power more than 6 circuits or less !*

My superbase 2000 won’t take a charge. No way I’d buy from this company.
