Is the Jays ‘we will be better’ message getting stale? | OverDrive - Hour 2 - 05/02/2024

Ойын-сауық

Bryan Hayes, Jeff O’Neill and Jamie McLennan are joined by NHL on TNT analyst and NBC handicapper and Kentucky Derby reporter Eddie Olczyk to discuss which mentality is more difficult to overcome, the Maple Leafs playing without Auston Matthews or the Bruins playing the team without their star player, the home struggles for the Leafs, which horse to watch for at the Kentucky Derby and more. They chat about Blue Jays manager John Schneider’s vow to the fanbase, the struggles of the Toronto Blue Jays and the frustrations surrounding the team, the fans and Alek Manoah’s future with the Blue Jays and more.

They have a sub par offense. The amazing depth we had a few years ago for power and hitting is long gone. Defense and pitching alone does not make for an elite squad or exciting fan experience. Management had their chance...they need to go.

Hiring Don Mattingly as the bench coach is akin to putting a Mercedes Benz in storage and driving a Ford Fiesta (i.e. John Schneider) instead.

Even as a total neutral, watching the Jays is excruciating...

Schneider feels a lot like Keefe. Unqualified.
