The blame lies on Tocchets shoulders,He is allowing his players to swarm McDavid,Probably under Tocchets orders.Which is exactly what Connor wants,put 3 players on McDavid for the PP and that leaves just 1 D-man to cover Leon and Hyman…McDavid just makes things impossible for opposing teams to cover him..🫡

Marner needs a rehabilitation project no matter if he stays or moves on 1) Mitch should confess that he didn’t cover his check in game 7 OT - all the way back to the Leafs net. {That is basically any backing assignment assignment (cover your man all the way back to the Leafs net). Mitch by giving up back checking at the Leafs Blue line - just looked like he doesn’t care for playoffs. 😀}

Justice was delivered finally by the hockey gods. Canucks have been horrible most if these playoffs getting absolutely dominated from an advanced stats perspective. You can’t keep losing that stat war and expect to win games.
