Thanks, and yes, as soon as you start taking oral minoxidil you stop using topical. ...And what a beautiful moment that is! haha

@@thehairguyhmrif you shed it’s a good thing. It means that your hair going to come back even stronger! It’s a beautiful thing because it makes your life so much easier taking oral over using a topical treatment.

Is it ok to have oral minoxidil if I’m on finasteride ? And what are the side effects on oral minoxidil?

Do you know the closest hair type on the body to beard hair? I need a beard transplant, as I was naturally able to grow a thick, dense beard but at age 18 I went through an identity crisis and got laser done for a year. I’m 27 now and deeply regret it. We’re still ten years away minimum from hair cloning and I can’t bare to become 40 and still look like this. I’m going to get a beard transplant. I’m a very hairy guy though and was considering them just transplant from my chest or shoulders as the hair is far more wiry. However I recognize it doesn’t grow as long as head hair.

It all depends on the person. Everyone's hair in different parts of their body is different to others. You would have to be evaluated individually.

Can I order just oral minoxidil? I don't want to use finasteride because I use dutasteride every day, and I don't think adding finasteride would have any benefits for for my regimen.

I think that’s possible. Can you email Mark@Locklab.co and request this. Also, you’d likely do as well or better just discontinuing use of the dutasteride and taking the finasteride/minoxidil combo pill we sell standard through Locklab as is. But correct, you would not want to take both finasteride and dutasteride at the same time.

I will have to disagree about finasteride. It's a great drug. It definitely prevents hair loss, but I was young and had aggressive androgenic alopecia when I started using it. I was 20 when I started finasteride, and 36 when I noticed that my hair was thinning and that finasteride wasn't strong enough anymore. Dutasteride is a stronger DHT inhibitor and is probably necessary for people in a situation that's similar to mine. I'm pro-oral minoxidil, too. I've been using a 2.5mg dose for over two years. But I still think it's just a regrowth stimulant and doesn't prevent further hair loss at its source. I'm sure I would lose hair if I stopped using dutasteride, even if I combined finasteride and minoxidil.

Yes, I still use oral minoxidil. I haven't gotten any side effects.

Ours is a combo all in one pill. One pill a day to end hair loss for 97% of guys.
