I saw homeless people begging outside Wendys.I was followed back to my vehicle and panhandled aggressively. I got back on the freeway and headed for Tahoe

I'm sorry you had that experience! I have never had an encounter like that but I imagine it didn't leave a good impression. Seems like that could have happened anywhere these days...

Great video. Every area is different, just like the people who will enjoy it or not. Drove through GP on a trip to Washington for a wedding. Ill need to visit soon.

Isn't that the truth for most cities? The areas nearby are generally less expensive because they are further away from all the amenities.

The realtors got a false sense of reality during the weed rush. Now you cant grow there and the cost of living is among the highest in the country. Everyone is leaving, and theres no jobs there. The area is on track to go back to being one of the poorest counties in the country, like it was when they had no sheriffs between 2011 and 2016.

There are a lot of benefits to living in GP, but I'm not sure free drugs is one of them. LOL. From what I've seen, GP is well below the national average in violent crime. 🤷

​@@BuyingSouthernOregon Lived here for 23 years. Drug use is up, homelessness is up, crime is up. Grants place has one of the highest crime rates, above the national average. IMHO, it's not a safe place to live.
