An important factor in the difference between valuations is the fact that Man U have Harry Maguire. He single handidly brings the franchises value down at least a billion dollars.

The effect of the Chelsea sale is already seen. In Serie A, AC Milan is valued at around 700M Euros but an Bahrain Corporation called InvestCorp is willing to buy the Club at 1 Billion Euros....from Elliot Management, a Hedgefund that is temporarily owning the Club but is desperate to sell to the next buyer. There are plans to build a new stadium in Milan and the new owners can sense that Milan will likely have doubled in value by the end of the decade and are swooping in now. The Club has a big history and a decent following on Social media and there is a lot of untapped potential there if managed properly

Milan fan here in the US and this was very informative and makes a lot of sense. I truelly hope they sell the club to someone willing to invest in the squad though. The new stadium will hopefully bring in more revenue but I am curious how much more since the new stadium is planned to be smaller than the San Siro. We see how successful Juve have become with a smaller stadium but I am assuming you make up for the smaller stadium by charging more per ticket. Not a good strategy. Furthermore I hope the new buyers invest in the academy so that the club arent entirely reliant in a hugely inflated market to bolster the squad

The thing is any club has always an opponent waiting to rise. Any billionaire could just show up and splash the cash in a team and suddenly create a football machine. Look at PSG and Manchester City. Clubs were there annoying no one, then oil billionaires took over and bought all sorts of stars: Messi, Neymar, Mbape, Ramos, Navas. Pep Guardiola!! Out of nowhere they dominate their leagues. PSG spends 40% of the wages in League 1. Manchester City is much better well run, but they're still on top 4 biggest spenders in England and top 10 in the world. 15 years ago no one knew about these clubs and now they're just gigantic. In Brazil, a billionare just decided to splash the cash in the team his a fan of. So he hired Hulk, Diego Costa, Godin and many others to win the league in 2021 after a 50 year drought.

@@VeryIntellijent well, man I think it depends on the sort of strageties the teams as institutions. In this chanel they showcase PSG and Man City strstegies. They use different approaches both with some success. It depends on the strategy acctually. To me PSG is like the fashion style is just really cool. They make some of the most beautiful kits out there. And they bring in superstars so it creates a huge social media hype and people expect the team to perfom on the pitch and to win the Champions League. To me and to a lot of people it that is not appealing. City on the other hand, brings in great players but none of them have that much fame and hype. Actually I think the biggest figure there is Pep Guardiola. And he is full of carisma and profesionalism. The game flows beautifully. He dominates in a super strong league. It's a completely different approach. Completely. I am a United fan and I have sympathy for what Pep and the City Football Group are doing. They're raising the bar. So... if someone else can defeat Pep's City of this dominance... I think they will atract a lot of popularity. Imagine a good coach gets a blank check from any billionaire... Conte or Zidane or Pochetinno or ten Hag or Deschamps get the job on Newcastle for instance and they put a real football machine. Like Total Football 2.0... people could pick up on the hype. Who was the greatest coach before Pep came to the scene? What if Ronaldo or Messi or Zlatan retire and become a super coach? It would be BANANAS! Anything could happen really. Tomorrow is full of surprises

Loved this video! But to answer the question posed by the title - which the video does not appear to answer explicitly - my opinion would be that Chelsea is NOT worth more than Man United, but that it WOULD fetch a higher sale price. Because even though MUFC is probably worth more (in my opinion), any buyer of MUFC would be taking on all that Glazier debt. To persuade a buyer to do that, you'd have to lower the sale price below what most ppl would regard the club as being worth. The key with Chelsea's sale is that Abramovich has vouched that HE (& not the buyer) will take on the £2 billion debt that this video mentions. It's like when a player runs down his contract. No transfer fee means more money to the player than if there were a fee.

Football clubs are extremely undervalued. That's mostly because their valuation looks at physical assets and actual revenues without much consideration for future potential as is the case with digital services. Football has caught the attention of big investment companies and consortiums and we will see crazy deals in the coming 10 years. Realistically speaking, how can a club like Manchester United or Real Madrid be 1/10th the value of LinkedIn? Simply because football clubs have not unleashed their full potential. Real Madrid is followed by 450m around the world, twice as much the number of Netflix subscribers.

They have won every title there is on the soccer arena. there is no reasons why they shouldn't be sold for that price. however, we cannot relay on the so called experts who always have it wrong; Saying that Chelsea is over priced is out of Nonsense. Any club that have won all the titles there is on the sport arena are worth such amount, because that price play a role of a BENCH MARK for clubs that has achieve such greatness, full stop.

The simple answer to your question is non... Real Madrid, not kidding, has an unlimited amount of money available for them. The only reason why "everyone" doesn't think so, has to do with accounting. As long as accounting (as a regulation of cooperation) set by the government, is in place, Real Madrid has to "balance" the books. But don't worry, they also have access to unlimited accounting possibilities as well... Real Madrid, in a historically perspective will never be allowed to be a lesser club. It is the biggest brand of power for the Kings city in Spain. If RM would be allowed to slip down the rankings, this would lead to an all out civil war. Places like Catalonia and Basque would see it as weakness and pounce on it. Hence it is extremely important for the central power in Spain to have RM up their and fighting on the football pitch, as a show of "financial" strength. The financial industry of Spain is located in Madrid, and is why I am saying that RM has unlimited access. After all, the financial industry in Spain, is just making money on the labor from other regions, which are the productive ones. Real Madrid was the first "super" club in the world, and for all the wrong reasons.

Please make a video about AC MILAN football club. 4 years ago they were on the verge of liquidation due to debts of the Chinese owner and today with American owners have become a super competitive group with a lower budget than its other rivals in Italy and after 4 years is about to be sold to an investment fund from Bahrain for $ 1.1B

Are fan tokens and growth-market spillovers the only reason why Chelsea is worth $3bil+ ? I don't understand why the club was compared to MUFC when there was little exposition on what player sales from the academy, potential socio-currencies, and matchday/commercial incomes would look like in a short term time frame.

Up on top of the hill was the £3 billion Chelsea palace that was bathing the whole place in beautiful golden light. The voice in the background said "please take your medicine".

plus man u have not raised ticket prices for nearly 10 years. and they have a 100,000 plus waiting list for season tickets. a new byer will probably build a 100.000 plus stadium because they know they will fill it easily plus they will probably raise ticket prices by up to 30% since they have not gone up for 10 straight years, imagine that an extra 30 or 40 thousand tickets sold for every game at bigger prices for all tickets plus in a new super stadium they can build hundreds of corporate boxes and fill them since it's man united, they could easily double the match day revenue and also by selling naming rights can bring in even more.
