Is 5th Scale Just Too Big? Huge Brushless Buggy in Action. The Legend of Big Ian!

Hi all. This is a 5th scale 30 Degree North 30 DNB Buggy that my friend Nick has converted to brushless from a roller designed for nitro. Is it too much for me to handle? It's almost too much to pick up, I'll tell you that for nothing! This buggy is called Ian for reasons best known to Nick. Thanks to Nick for letting me play with Ian and thank you for watching. Please consider pressing like and maybe leaving me a comment :-)

Ooooh that's a whopper, Pete! I agree though, far to big for me, too, no way could I carry that in my current state of health, damn it I need a trolly to carry my Tamiyas now! Haha, I noticed as you were putting your Willy on the workbench there were also a couple of nobs on the monitor behind it!!! 😅 Cool video mate, good to see a different side to the RC hobby. Walk of shame! 🤣 we all do it!!! Cheers my friend! 🤗👌👊👍

Hiya mate. Oh yeah it's a bit much for anyone over 55 to be carrying around. When we go RC'ing I like to take a little selection but if they were all this size I could only take one or two. Oh yeah I did mean to have Rob on screen while we were looking at Ian on the bench but when Nick came round I forgot about it. Yes I managed to slip him in while I popped my Willy out 😂 Good to see areas of the hobby that we wouldn't actually do ourselves like you say. That car definitely needs a tow rope for the walk of shame! Cheers for your great feedback as ever mate. Best wishes 😁👍👍

Jeez that thing is super-mega-chongus!!! The bid ones are a blast to drive if you have the space to run them, work on them and store them! It looks like a really fun on to drive and seems to do really well! I am sure it does weigh a ton, I know holding Al's Kraton 8s it weighed a lot this one looks much bigger! Thanks to Nick for bringing it out and for showing it off Pete!

Very cool car and nice video Pete. As long you've space to drive it 1 by 5's okay😁. And as long it fits on your bench, too. Don't think you'll move it while working on it.

Hiya Craig. Oh yes I probably should have mentioned that you need a big area to run it in too. Yeah it's good to try these things but really I think that I'd rather have a few smaller ones than one huge one. Nick likes it and that's the main thing. Cheers for watching mate. Much appreciated 😁👍

That's some nice KZread, you watch there, Pete! Oh, wow, what a cool machine, and it seems to run really well also! Biggest I tried is 7th scale, and also in that case I found it to be less scary to drive than I'd think... Most scary is the thought of carrying it home, and also the thought of charging the batteries for it, ha ha...

I have over 50+ rcs and the bigger they are, the less they get driven for my anyways. I have a bad back an legs that make it very diffor me to carry my 40+ pound losi 5t 2.0 electric covered to 16s with big heavyweight badland mx4.3 wheels. Even my kraton 8s is hard to carry. I finally got a outcast 8s exb last year and its got driven the most out of all my 8s an up rigs do to the fact its just a tad smaller and not as hard to carry. But still find myself playing with my 10th scale rigs with my kids since they really injoy driven what dad has. And we all have so much fun. Little granite 4x4 is so much fun in a small yard. Still want the 30°N buggy like this one. Lol

I've seen a few 30DN RC Cars on youtube the best videos I've seen on them are from @ThunderRc he owns both gasser and electric versions puts them through crazy stuff indeed so I have no doubt at all that are very fun RC Cars to drive but once you start breaking stuff on them your going to have break open your piggy bank to get the parts to fix it which granted you could say that about alot of RC Cars in general Pete plus it depends how you drive your car and what you put it through as well? To me I just don't have the space to store it let alone offord one mainly because I'm a cheap S.O.B LOL!
