I find it hilarious that you own a Tesla and you were complaining that the interior of this looks cheap. Tesla sets the bar for cheapness in cars. And now they’re even going to get rid of turn signal stalks to save more money. The interior of this Hyundai does not remotely look like an Econo box. Could it be better, absolutely, but it’s nowhere near as bad as you’re making it out to be. You can’t expect it to look like the interior of an Audi when it’s 25,000 cheaper. But I’m not bashing you personally, I really do enjoy your videos and I appreciate that you do them.

Interior quality is irrelevant in a comparison of the two vehicles because the Ioniq 6 is such a hideous monstosity 😂 I own a '19 M3LR. No one in their right mind would trade their Tesla for the 6 for it's interior. This is not even to speak of having to give up Tesla software in favor of whatever the 6 has going on 😂 The Ioniq 6 is revolting to look at and that's all that matters (to most people anyway).

I don't know what you're talking about with the rear end. In my opinion it looks awesome, very 911-esque. I do wish it sat a little lower. It looks so much cooler than the model 3, the model 3 looks like a fish of some sort.

People have been saying this car looks like a Porsche since day one, as if it's some novel concept. It's not. Hyundai ripped off an iconic styling cue that is instantly recognizable to anyone with eyeballs. You could also say the 6 looks like a Lamborghini Sterrato because they both have four wheels. This car looks nothing like anybody's Porsche. The Ioniq 6 looks like it was designed by a group of people who hated each other.

I love the design, and my First Edition Ioniq 6. It is built like the car shown, just perfect. Being neither a very big nor tall guy, the interior is very spacious for me. I don't mind the materials used, mostly I drive, and don't drum on the panels.

I am not a fan of sedans, but I think this looks really good! The rear reminds me of a Porsche, and I love the front as well!

Just make sure you clean the snow off before opening the trunk😂 Also if you are inside the car why would you care so much about the butt end...Although if I wanted a sedan I would wait for Kia's version.

I am a 2 ioniq 6 owner, I know you guys are not big fans, but I go to many, many ev shows, and the vast majority of showgoers absolutely like this car. 🎉

I wish more companies would release Sedans.

I know, right!? We have so many SUVs coming out. Even the new Bolt is just going to be the EUV version and they are discontinuing the Sedan model. The redesign of the Leaf is also going to be an SUV.

Dude, the plastic is recycled. A lot of us liking this vehicle are quite keen on the environment so for me this recycled plastic interior is absolutely fine. Easy to clean is a plus ;)

At least the Ioniq 6 has character. I see Tesla as the Apple of cars; just bland. You see so many of them and sure they are getting cheap but I would not have wanted to be an early adopter and pay the premium. I just love the look and the efficiency of the Ioniq 6. I do agree the interior material feel kinda cheap. But if that the price to pay to have a Porsche Taycan at half the price I'm all in LOL

The steering wheel was not moved up. This is why you're hitting the stalks with your knees I don't think a car should be criticized that it isnt made for a particular size of people. For big guys who dont fit in the 6 there is the 5. But the material analysis was spot on

As an expert detailer can you explain the difference of fit and finish of Hyundai and Tesla, I have owned five Hyundai's all of them perfect paint no nibs not easy to chip the paint no real need for ppf, what's up.

The rear is THE best portion...

I prefer the 6 over the 5 for the better efficiency, the extra range just comes from using the same size battery - 20% more range from the same battery means 20% less cost to operate over the life of the vehicle. But I prize efficiency more than most people (I'm still hoping to get an Aptera).

33:01 - Seeing that nice Taycan in background, confirms my conviction that the Ioniq 6 is the poor man's Taycan. I personally dig the 6.

Sacrifice head room for range. Make the back ugly for range. Make the trunk have goofy proportions for range. Slap giant wheels on it and kill the range. What is Hyundai doing?

Agreed the interface is lacking. And don’t get me started on the terrible navigation integration with charging stops! 😂 But if you don’t like it white, you can change it to be a black background all the time in the settings. I like the styling of this car but interior room wise, it’s definitely not for larger people. I have the ioniq5 and much prefer the spaciousness of it.

Wish they could have made this a lift back for ease of loading.

Driver assistance systems are crazy. I watched a lady get stuck in a crosswalk in NYC because people stepped near her car and it Stopped. She couldn't go. It was embarrassing for her. New Yorkers see a stopped car and go. So now she was stuck for a few minutes. Causing traffic in the intersection. It was crazy.

You guys are confusing the HVAC controls in the ioniq5 with the ones on the Kia. The ioniq5 controls are exactly like the car you were sitting in. The Kia has the goofy system that swaps the panel between audio and climate control.

This has to be one of the worst reviews I've ever seen I genuinely don't know if you love or hate this car

review immediately debased when he knocked the rear end within the first sentence 👎🏻 its the most intriguing part of the car and why it won world car design of the year in 2023

Went with the Ioniq 5 Limited AWD. I'm 6 ft and the car is a bit too small.

This is the kind of car that looks very different in different colours, I'm going for the dark grey which I think is the best.

I got the black, I like how it hides all the black trim on the front bumper and the wing and the bottom of the car is light gray so the contrast makes it look more high end on the exterior.

Yeah, took my wife about two minutes sitting in a limited IONIQ 5 and 6 to choose the five. Anybody that is 6 foot with a 34 inch inseam will not be able to sit in the backseat. I could forgive the exterior if I had a little more headroom in the driver seat. In fact, I think I would get a lower trim with no sunroof to recover headroom if I was desperate for range. 35:27

In my opinion Tesla makes the most bland, boring looking cars I’ve seen. Sometimes simple is a good thing but teslas have no uniqueness in design to me

I think you need to plug your head in and get a full recharge.

I find the interior of the 6 much nicer than the Model 3. The only thing that's less premium is probably the infotainment because Tesla has the best one.

What changes it is how the franchised dealership is going to screw you over! No one is getting to get this at sticker like all of the Teslas do.

I just wish you could get the best tech without the garbage. I'm a road tripper, so I want the better ride and increased efficiency, but I have to give that up to get the better seats, and V2L.

I know were just comparing EV sedans here, but for a sense of perspective on how they may have cheaped out on the interior this is about the same price (or just a bit more) than a Hyundai Palisade top trim and you get a much nicer interior there which would have cost Hyundai much more to make considering the size difference.

The SE has the longest range, but the least ammenities and safety. The 18" rims also feel better in the real world and are cheaper to re-tire.

Check back after it has 40k on the clock. If it's anything like my Ioniq5 it will make all kind of noises x.x

Aren’t sedans more city driving vehicles, unless you’re a short family? There’s been very few sedans I feel comfortable in the front or back seat. That’s like the second priority for cars to me. But I’ll sit in the back seat for a short drive.

Something grows on me with time but that Hyundai logo never has. It has always tacky looking to me.

Absurd 😂 If a car is not made for tall people there's something wrong with the car lol. 'Not for Tall People' is not a feature, it's a problem. The engineers made this car 'Not for Tall People' on purpose and should not be given a pass because .2 drag coefficient nets 2 more miles of range. That sloping roof is ridiculous. The backlash on this car is coming and it will be brutal 😂

I have a 2023 I5. I think the I6 is going to be a tough sell for most people. Very little reason to go with a 6 over a 5.

I’ve been saying this forever. The screens look terrible and so cheap on all Kia and Hyundai products. It’s pathetic. I agree, the touch points are brutal on this vehicle. Reminds me of the fisker ocean. Same thing. Touch points are really poor and super cheap.

Polestar is far better looking, has better materials, and will age far better in its aesthetic than this (Volvo-inspired designs usually do). This doesn't look AT ALL like the price one paid. IONIQ 5 is the way, this was certainly a miss in so many ways.
