INVISALIGN HYGIENE: How To Clean Invisalign Trays

Here are a few tip on my Invisalign Hygiene: How to Clean Invisalign Trays. In this video I show you how I clean my trays/teeth and what I use. I'm so glad I started this Invisalign series as I get many questions about my treatment and everything that comes with it.
I only mentioned the products and methods I feel comfortable with as there are many that use Polident to clean their trays. I was also highly recommended by my dentist to not use things like that. There are cleaning crystals that come with the trays, however, they make my trays smell even worse and I'm not comfortable with the chemicals. I found my way to be the healthiest, cruelty free and cleanest way to do it. If you have any other tips on how you keep your trays clean, please let me know in the comment section. Thanks so much for watching!

    I was told not to use toothpaste when cleaning my aligners because it can scratch or damage them. I've been watching a lot of Invisalign videos and have heard so many different things about this

    Yes, I also saw this when doing my research and in most cases it said to rub antibacterial soap and then brush. I personally was not very comfortable with that because of all the chemicals. I asked my dentist and he said it was fine as I was switching my trays every week. He also gave me some cleaning crystals that you add in water and through your trays in but again, too many chemicals and honestly, they made my trays smell like trash. I use non-fluoride, chemical free and vegan toothpaste and found that to work best for me. Everyone really has their own preference and I just wanted mine to be clean, non-stinky and chemical free.

  • @zytro2618
    @zytro26183 жыл бұрын

    If your switching retainer trays, then using toothpaste is not an issue. But if you are not and use the same retainer then I would recommend to clean it with non alcoholic mouthwash, Make sure there's no alcohol so it doesn't wear the braces down. There might be some slight discoloration but that's just what happens when you use toothpaste or mouthwash. If you really want to keep your retainers in spotless Condiction, I use retainer bright tablets, use them once or 2 times a week then you should be fine, but in the meantime brush them with a toothbrush under lukewarm water Hope this helped😁

    I did and I believe all Invisalign treatments do. The more shifting you need, the more your dentist will attach on your teeth. Once the treatment is done, your dentist will take them all off (best feeling ever) and then you get your lingual wire of trays to wear at night (whatever they recommend).

    I'm sure you can take it off with them. I was never able to drink anything besides water with the trays on just because everything sits on your teeth like soaking in there. I tried a couple times with beer but it would drive me nuts. I guess it just depends on the person but be careful because it's easy to get cavities with those trays.
