I think it's far better in this format because they did it so we'd not only notice the maaany cost cutters in this episode but "the fights are amazing" so we know those cuts are going to pay off in a big way and it wasn't the kaiju fight.

Also, the way they absolutely bodied the Seance Dog writer scene at comic con. One of the best, most iconic parts of the entire comic book run, and they translated it to this medium *perfectly* , man.

I feel like we need to put some respect on the Amber and Mark storyline in season 2. In season 1, everybody (including the showrunners) agree it wasn’t great. But it’s the realest part of season 2. So much heart and passion, no one is right and no one is wrong. Everybody is understandable. Steven Yeun is always bodying it, but Zazie Beetz needs awards for this ep. Incredible performances.

I think she's been better this season, but god I hated her so much season 1 I still haven't been able to like her this season..lol, I can at least understand why people like her this season, but that first one just hurt her character too much in my eyes.

​@@markfuston2714 she didn't do shit in season 1 to deserve this amount of stupid hate. this season she made a ACTUAL CHOICE to date a superhero. it didn't work, but she was ready to try it KNOWINGLY. the last season Mark didn't gave her that choice. I'm not saying he should've give up his secret identity right away, but it doesn't matter because ultimately he still didn't gave Amber a choice. he lied to her. her initial reaction was 100% justified.

And then she went all super shitty saying she already knew, and acted like he was the crazy one for NOT telling someone the moment he started dating them "Oh by the way I'm a super hero." And also didn't get back with him until after he saved the planet. She was a shit character, and there's no defending it. I will say she's a teenaged, sometimes teenagers are shit people, but doesn't change the fact that she was an awful person and basically everyone agrees.@@martophrenia

Mark didn't gave her a choice to date a superhero; 2. she didn't came back to him because he saved planet lol she came back because she saw the hell he went through calling her an awful person because she didn't appreciated the constant lies RIGHT AWAY and her knee jerk reaction was to lash out is fucking insane

That whole comic con scene was the most accurately self-aware sequence I've ever seen in a show.

My guess is the same reason halfbreed saiyans are _monsters._ Think about this. A normal real life human with a faulty fight-or-flight mechanism, if sufficiently stressed and pissed off, has almost willing access to a 2-5x strength multiplier. That thing that let a little asian gma lift a car off her kids. The moment you apply a 5x multiplier to the power/strength level of one of these characters, you get something that can punch through plot armor like it's nothing.

The joke in the Comics made to work for the show haha. The scene where he meets his comic book idol is done in the Comics too bit it's about Comics instead of animated shows. They made the switch to animated shows and it worked brilliantly.

As someone who’s read the comics and without spoilers it’s multiple reasons for marks situation 1) growing up on earth and reading comics mark has this ideology that heroes don’t kill that theirs always another way so he tries ro follow that and holds back while other viltrumites don’t 2) yes they get stronger with age 3) their powers work like any muscle, mark could lift weights (really heavy ones) to get stronger or fly or run to get faster 4) every encounter they face they heal stronger from it the more damage they take the stronger and tougher they become, not quite Alan’s level but still

You figured it out Omni. From what I understand without knowing any other major details. Yes, their numbers are not as big as before so besides conquering planets, they are also trying to increase their numbers by meeting with others from other species, but they’re trying to do it not just with every species but the ones that they feel are best compatible to make offspring.

Viltrumites dish out much more than they can take, mark is 100% holding himself back from murdering the fuck out of someone like he almost did back in the first half of the season.

Well you certainly get stronger with training, as we've seen before all elite viltrumites aka ones that do solo missions have a signature move that elevates them above their physical potential. For Nolan it's using his open palm as a blade and for Anissa it's her double kick. This allows them to best enemies that are physically more imposing than them.

Invincible gets stronger as he ages, he also just needs to train, it’s like what Zod said to Superman, zod was trained to be a warrior, the other vilturmites train but they also don’t have the humanity aspect holding them back though Omniman showed restraint to mark as his son and Anissa wasn’t trying to kill him yet, in the comics it mentions that vilturmites get angry fast, mark does try to suppress his anger which also might weaken him in comparison but it’s a long journey mark will pull his weight eventually

That's kinda her shtick. Anissa has always been one to use reason over force and, apparently, she's really good at it. But, like all Viltrumites, she PREFERS violence. She just puts the mission over her personal feelings; you'll see she does that later on in the series. Viltrumites do get stronger with age, yes, but there are levels to the game. For how tough Anissa is...she's not that busted. As far as Viltrumites go, she's probably upper B tier. Nolan's probably bottom A Tier. Mark is just young and he hasn't tapped into his rage yet. That's the thing that makes Viltrumites strong; they have a hair trigger temper and they are prone to berserker fits; Anissa warns him about that in the comics as she's stepping on him. But as far as we no, no, his human side doesn't make him any stronger; that's more of an Inuyasha thing.

That’s why I don’t know if you noticed in the previous episode when Nolan was in prison, there were some others that were in biltrumite uniforms, but they were from other species. At least that’s how it came across to me.

The older the Viltrumite the more battle experience and strength builds upon them. She’s thousands of years old with plenty of experience. But as time goes by all of the get stronger and faster.

God I did not think I would be this attracted to Anissa, uppercut me into space mommy. (Yes I've read the comics and know all about her too)

At the end of the first season we got teased with potentially seeing Battle Cat again and also the old dude that transformed into some cobra-like character. I'm guessing we'll get to meet them in the future because if we get either of them in the final episode it wouldn't be enough to enjoy them. Just my two cents. See you for the finale.

I kinda see Mark’s abilities are like Jordan in Superman & Lois. Maybe his powers need to mature cause thinking about it season 1 Jordan wasn’t even able to go toe to toe with Tal-Roh and season 2 was able to go against to Bizzaro or inverse kryptonians. Similar with how Mark was barely able to do anything to Nolan in season 1 but when he was on Thraxon he really gave the other vilitramites a run for there money.

22:48 Now where did this come from all of the sudden? It didn't bother her to be that person in the first season. Nothing changed between them since she broke up with him besides getting the shit kicked out of him by Nolan. It's so obviously a reaction to audience feedback that it feels like an inappropriate fourth wall break. Imagine you're watching a show and two characters are having an argument and one of them just stops and looks at the camera and says "Hey, I know I'm being irrational right now. I don't wanna be like this."

So the reason you're getting conflicting information in the comments is because there's a multiversal component to the Viltrumites. It's basically this universe's version of the Crisis on Infinite Earths, with multiple copies of the same Viltrumite merging together and ah I'm just messing with you.
