Anissa doesn't care about Mark or the planet. What she cares about is completing her objective. She was tasked with trying to convince Mark to do his "job". So she tried to appeal to him via logic and diplomacy. That's why they sent her. She's one of the few Viltrumite's who's really good at doing things the Non-Viltrumite way. However, she also has their genetic temper so when Mark said no, she went from a cool 5 to a solid 8 on the anger scale. The ONLY reason she didn't kill him is because she's not trying to answer to the Grand Reagent for the unauthorized killing of a Viltrumite; no Viltrumite wants to report failure to him. Anissa prefers to settle things with violence, all homegrown Viltrumites do, but they live and breathe discipline so they don't get violent unless they have to or are given permission.

BRO, when the show first came out so many people thought (due to invincible being assumed satire to heroism which I think is unfair to say) that viltrumites were just a murdering race. Although that might seem the case on the surface, they have an extreme deep history of indoctrination and tradition, s2 has shown viltrumites to actually have codes, rules and obligations just like us, just in a different more violent form.

Mark really got the shittiest day possible. Firstly, he was almost killed by Anissa with the warning of much worse Viltrumite to come. Then, he desperately tried to save his relationship with Amber only for it to broke up for good. Finally, Angstrom took Debbie and Oliver as hostages. And he could be really dangerous with his interdimensional power. Angstrom chose either the best or the worst time to fight Mark.

Viltrumites get stronger the more they push themselves and recover from severe damage( Zenkai Boost) and Allen( being apart of a super soilder project) was a super-Uponan. His adaptation/Zenkai boost ability was pure luck and is on par if not stronger than Viltrumites on average.

@@whenallelsfails21 Eh, I haven't read the comics (and I'd appreciate not being spoiled on anything major in that regard), but the show's already apparently deviated from them on numerous occasions. We'll see how things unfold. Besides, I seriously doubt Nolan was holding back on beating on Mark, aside from actually killing him. The full strength of Viltrumites, in both show and apparently the comics, comes out with rage, and Nolan was raging plenty in his fight with Mark. Also, it took quite a few hits from Nolan to draw blood on Mark and damage his costume, while Anissa's _opening blow_ opened up Mark and shattered one of his google lenses. One correction about Cecil's statement on Mark's odds: he said that Mark had an 18% chance of _surviving_ a fight with Anissa, not for winning.

If im not mistaken in the comics his race was genetically made to fight of Viltrumites. With Allan's being one of the only successful ones. Each time he gets into a fight he gets stronger. In the comics he reached a level that was close to battle beast in terms of strength

The crater scene had me the most tense, the only comic scene that I remember seeing online.

That scene where Cecil told Mark to comply to Anissa’s demands and pretend to submit is actually very interesting, considering she could hear EVERYTHING they were saying with her advanced hearing, and she even told them that she could hear them. It really shows how she truly didn’t want to destroy Earth or even allow the Viltrum Empire to destroy it. Very complex character.

Viltrumites don't have super senses. They might have advanced hearing than the average human, but nothing like a super power

In the comics Mark mentions that it's a misconception that he has super hearing. I don't know if the show is continuing this idea but Anissa shouldn't be able to hear Cecil. Anissa is making a guess that people are listening, which makes more sense why Cecil would call her smart after that.

For those who have read the comics. Anissa is the most hated character in the entire story. I am very curious to see how they handle her going forward.

After seeing other Viltrumites like Anissa in the episode no doubt you will eventually see how much Battle Beast held back in the first season 💀

They didn't mix Allen's genes with a viltrumite. He got zenkai boosts. His basically like a saiyan.

Anissa, a very controversial character from the comics, telling Mark that he (Conquest) would come soon was the best part of the season so far. People have no idea what's coming next.

Anissa really sells Viltrumite occupation, especially considering how the real world is being run 😂 until you remember how we've seen Viltrumites actually rule their planets so far 😅
