Mark is stronger than every hero and villain on earth. Even stronger than immortal this shows you that he just chooses to hold back there for also making himself vulnerable.

the part where "it looks like a different show" is a shoutout to Ryan Ottley's artstyle from the majority of the comics' run

This episode made it clear to Mark and Amber how fragile their relationship has gotten through despite the circumstances between his life with and without superheroics. With the looming threat of Anissa and other Viltrumites, their romance had become the straw that broke the camel's back.

Damn. This is how you write Amber. Everything she said was legit. It made me feel for her. This is how you do it.

Not really. Omni Man didn't always hold back, and he isn't really the strongest viltrumite. One of the characters did say Annisa was faster Nolan, and that wouldn't be said for no reason. Strength does effect speed, so that means Annisa is above his level.

I feel like the way they went is kind of realistic for a healthy relationship between a superhero and a human being together but it just does not work out because their lifestyles are way too different. It's kind of like what they say in the comics. Superheroes are different in the fact that humans don't take the time to look up in the sky because why would they, they live completely grounded.

Look, overall I think they did a decent job with fixing Amber’s character. The problem is that it’s just so painfully obvious how drastic her character change in Season 2 is compared to what she was like in Season 1. Looking back at what she was like then and what she is now is literally like looking at night and day! You can't tell me they're the same person! Some will make the argument that people can change, but not to the point where they literally sound and act like a completely different individual. At first she was overly judgmental and narcissistic and always making Mark feel like he was the one in the wrong. But now she’s Mark’s “yes” woman, agreeing with everything he says no matter what and doesn't have a single negative or critical thing to say about him at all. “You’re leaving to go to space? Ok babe no problem.” “You were gone for 2 months straight making me believe you were possibly dead? It’s all good!” YOU CAN BE MAD ABOUT THAT! That is a basic human emotion and a completely normal and understandable reaction to something like that! Even Mark’s own mother was upset with him about it because he left her all alone and she didn’t know if he was even alive or not. The thing that people didn’t like about Amber was that in Season 1 she would get mad at Mark for things that weren’t his fault or that he did nothing wrong period. But that doesn’t mean she has to now agree with EVERYTHING he does or says! It's like they flipped a switch from her being overly condescending to now being overly supportive. She literally says stuff this season that are completely opposite to what she said last season! I don’t want them to bring her back as a toxic character or say that they should undo all the improvements they’ve given to her character. I’m just saying there needs to be a balance somewhere between being overly toxic and overly supportive, because this doesn’t feel natural.

I have an awful feeling that Mark asking his mom how she thinks her life would have been without Nolan is gonna come back next episode. Seems like foreshadowing, especially with a multiverse travelling enemy. I know what ends up happening in the comics, but they love making pretty significant changes here and there and have been wondering about this part.

I thought Chloe Bennet was gonna voice Anissa!

Donald being a hero over and over with some of his lives not knowing shows his character and why Cecil NEEDS him. Much like how Batman needs Superman. Batman need Superman, not for strength and speed, but because Bruce Wayne looks to Clark Kent as his moral compass. Donald is unwavering until he has to question his very existence. That's heavy man...

I'm also an Invincible Atom Eve shipper, but I felt bad for Amber and Mark this episode. So I'm totally with Jaby. I wasn't a fan of Amber in season 1, but they really tried writing her to be a loving character who tries this season. And you can see that they both really love each other, but know it can't work out. And those might be the worst kind of breakups.

18:24. Maybe it's just me, but I feel Levy's hatred of our Mark is unjustified. Levy did say that in most other dimensions Invincible helps Omni Man take over the planet, but our Mark didn't. Sure, the transfer memories of his other selves showed him what an evil Invincible could be like for us, but he knows our Invincible is a hero. If Levy is mad at Mark for stopping his memory transfer, as Mauler pointed out by stopping the memory transfer machine it caused all of his other selves to die & his brain to be deformed. Also, Levy was the 1 who decided to transfer 1,000 minds all at once instead of 1 at a time, so it really his own carelessness that caused him to become a villain. Finally, I feel Levy should have teamed up with our Mark to learn more about why he opposed Omni Man & the Viltrumite Empire since he knows most Marks team up with them. If he discovered why our Mark was unique in wanting to protect Earth they could find a way to stop the Viltrumite Empire here.

I think you’re putting too much trust in Levy’s mental state. The truth is he’s messed up. The whole procedure scrambled his brain, so Levy just doesn’t act reasonably. You saw his whole mutation, his brain is filled with so many memories and information he doesn’t even know from which iterations of his. Cecil is literally like Nick Fury. I really think Anissa should have explained the downside of Viltrumite rule, like she did in the comics. Right now, she left it at "this world would be a utopia under us" and didn't finish the sentence.

Believe me when I say Anissa is a character that is not only scary but in the long term future of the show she is going break Mark in countless ways emotionally, physically and psychologically, I won't spoil anything from the comics though. Though I am glad Mark and Amber broke up for the better I will say they wrote Amber really well in this season and at least for me personally they redeemed her form Season 1 and made her more reasonable until she reached her logical breaking point when it came to how fragile her and Marks relationship was.

I feel compelled to point out that as far as bad guys are concerned, it won't matter whether Mark is currently dating Amber or formerly dating Amber - they'll use her to get to him either way, so breaking up does not keep her safe. As for Eve, she'd only last about half a second longer than Amber against someone like Anissa, so dating her would put her in danger, too. The only difference is that Eve voluntarily puts herself in danger already, so she'd be used to it.

This Episode was very Heavy. all the PTSD And Mental Health Issue's, And the Breakup was So well written ( It all built up over the last 6 Episode's) But also Just, seeing Anissa Was wild to me. Knowing what she does later to Mark (I do Not Know if it happened as Mark was Knocked out on the Beach?) I know it seems to soon for that Terrible ''Thing'' To happen.
