Seeing those two towtrucks dragging across the sand at the same time is probably one of the coolest things ever. You all need to do more videos together. It is fun to watch two men with such skill and finesse put there brains together and get stuff done.

Lesson learned: If you go alone you get stuck, if you bring a friend you get out, and if you bring too many people someone breaks down and every rig falls apart trying to recover them. :D

That sense of pride Paul had in his rig is something we all strive to have in our hand built rigs.

Also I feel like Sean, Hunter and especially Paul needed a day like this. With Ben’s understandable leave of absence. all there friends together laughing, smiling, the comradely working together. Love seeing that Smile Paul!!!

kinda felt a proud moment seeing the final leg of the journey. You both went in together and came out together whoever was in the lead.

Two of the coolest off road wreckers on the planet! Great to see you all work together! You both should be really proud of your wreckers .

Adventures like this is what makes off roading with friends so enjoyable.

You know Grandpa Sherm is up there smiling with pride on how well you've done with his old truck.It's obvious that there's no quit in any of you. It's also great to have good friends willing to help a guy out regardless of the situation. What an awesome group of people to be surrounded with.

It's a bummer Matt missed it, but he was represented very well. The problem solving between everyone is awesome to watch.

Pauls genuine smile this whole time almost shows the friend group they have they are pretty lucky too have found joy in a common thing. And ben will be missed he was a great addition safe travles ben have a great time with you family

It definitely pays to go in groups. That way someone always has what you need and can help. Great filming and great effort by everyone!!

You all are so awesome!! Nice to watch good friend having a great time until something breaks. Then it's all hand on deck to get the vehicles out safely. Thanks for taking all of us along for the adventure of the sand shoot.

Just to talk about the machine side of things for a moment these videos of all these guys (Fab Rats, Matt's Off Road Recovery, Trail Mater & Cascade Heavy Rescue) all show just how much maintenance and skill it takes to keep their rough country vehicles going strong. No matter how well they build them and the skill they bring to these jobs (and SHENANIGANS!!!) stuff still breaks, tasks still turn out tougher than expected. I've done a heck of a lot of four wheeling in my years but this rock crawling, stone step climbing and sand hill struggling would never of been possible with what I could afford to buy or maintain. So yeah, I'm impressed with these guys. Wish I had the money, I'd hire them to build me a vehicle none of the stock 4x4's I've owned could hold a candle to! :) (assorted pickups, IH Scout, Willy's Jeepster, like that all).

You had an adventure and that's what counts ! Thanks for taking us along. 👍

"We're going to go do dumb things." Not everybody with a KZread channel does dumb things that I like to watch, but you're an expert at it and I like it. Nice how Matt's guys showed up and allowed you to rescue one of their vehicles. And then everybody needed to get rescued. I fully approve this video.

Y’all are the best. No shame. Every vehicle in that sand track softened the road. Matt was not staying away from this adventure. The goal was achieved and then it took everyone to get everyone back up that steep sand hill. You said at the beginning m”this is not a good choice”. It was all about the challenge. Now THERE's a thought. Wrecker Games 2: The SAND HILL. Rules are simple: All tow trucks go to the bottom of the hill. Trucks are scored based on: Time to escape, apparent difficulty of escape, number of attempts, number of vehicles required to remove wrecker from sand hill (negative), number of vehicles assisted off of sand hill (positive). Loser buys the round, winner gets to tow the others through town.

They are not bad decisions. They are good stories and times with friends!

Currently you are the undisputed wrecker King of the sand chute. Matt and the WLORW needs to regroup and set up a challenge with you.

Doing "stupid" stuff with the right friends is the way to go! Good to find out what works and not also!

2 successful runs, one timed. Sand pit needs plan a, b, c, d. Carry lots of water, food and tools for rescue operations. Maybe a few spare parts. May have gotten out with a spotter spreading the last rope, Brett in his truck with an indication to start rolling then pulling. Some coordination with spotters, radio and walkie-talkies. Entertaining. Took less time than Mat 's recovery. Even "moir" prepared for Matt's next run.

Do you know what engine Paul is running and the horsepower that he is putting down? It sounds awesome and looks to be built tough to handle that kind of high revs.

That was nice of you to push trailmater back to civilization.

Tom on Matt’s off-road uses a degree app on his phone. But I watched them also hang keys from the tip of there fucker gets off a string to show the pitch of the keys leaning. But yea I agree!

Paul, you and your team did an amazing job on the tow truck, as was proven by it totally dominating Sand Chute. It was good to see y’all take a day off and just go have some fun. That’s a weird breakdown to happen, I’ve never seen a water pump gasket blow out. I hope there is t too much damage to the tow truck and hall can get her back up and running soon. Thanks to you, Michelle, and the entire team for putting out great content. I’ve learned an awful lot watching you dab stuff up, and I know I’ll learn more. Good Bless all of you!!

I've always wondered if you could just stick an anchor in the sand and winch off it. Kind of cool to see Rory make that work. I think the fact that even with the rigs being capable, stuff still went wrong; goes to show just how much of a challenge that hill really is. Even when you can manage it, and you did, its still right on the edge.

I've seen video of burying the spare wheel in the sand to winch off, and that worked perfectly.

one good thing to remember, when in the throws of adversity, you learn what it takes to make it better!

this was a fantastic adventure of good friends helping each other to a common goal. loved it. jefe bronc does kick ass though for store bought. but if you been watching , he got some pretty serious upgrades done to it.

All in all you guys had a blast and with teamwork rescued each other. I call it 👍

The fact that three major off road channels are now using this sand hill run as the measuring stick for sand capability guarantees recovery's for years to come for Matt and crew as people try and test their rigs.
