So as I was driving back from Nebraska where I had been visiting my children and grandchildren in late July, I camped near the east entrance to Zion National Park. As the sun was rising, I drove through the park and over to Hurricane to visit MORR and to buy a hat. I got to see Ed's Golden Nugget and the heavy wrecker in progress. Leaving Matt's I headed towards I-15, but didn't get far before I saw a family trying to change a tire on a pickup. They had a faulty hydraulic jack, so my 1.5 ton aluminum floor jack and cordless impact speeded up the task. Heading towards I-15 again, there was an old Grand Cherokee stalled at the intersection. I pulled him over to a safe spot and tried to give him a jump. The electrical system was too far gone, so had to leave him. On to Vegas for fuel, and then a stop to give radiator water to a very old and abused Camry. Crossed the border into California and helped a family change a tire on their Honda. Over the hill and there was a lady in a newer Grand Cherokee with a flat tire. Road service was an hour or more out and the temp was about 100, so I changed her tire and continued west. In Bakersfield there was a Silverado with a blown tire, so I made my 6th assist for the day. Got home to the foothills above Fresno at 10:30. All in all a good day for a 73 year old mountain man. Since then, wearing my MORR hat, I have met a number of others who follow the channel, so I strongly recommend getting a hat.

@@lakersbarnes It's 340 miles from Moab to Sand Hollow, and Google Earth says five hours each way. What would 700 miles towing a big trailer come to with fuel used? 70 gallons and $300? It makes you wonder how much it cost the client for the recovery? Matt had a bit of trouble at the end of last year, and the on-line articles about it mentioned recovery costs which were way higher than I'd have ever guessed.

I do have to give the guy in RAM & trailer props for not burying it to the frame. In other words, he was smart enough to stop the moment he knew he was stuck. The majority of people make things much worse because they keep trying until they're framed out and their tires are freewheeling which makes it so much harder to get out..

EDIT: Thank you for correcting the title! @matt’s off road recovery, this is the second time you’ve depicted a class 3 truck (max gvwr 14k) and standard consumer 5th wheel as weighing 50,000 lbs. The highest gvw on any grand design momentum is 20k. 14k + 20k ≠ 50k. I understand your need for views and clicks, but there are plenty of people out there who will perpetuate this misinformation. I honestly can’t believe the strength of these rescue vehicles! That was a SUPER heavy pull and it was a one -and-done, too!
Sensational Title Warning: The total weight of that rig is no more than 34,000 lbs. I own one of those and the GVWR of the toy hauler is 20k and the GVWR of a class III dully is 14k... I highly doubt that guy was 16k over gross. (Not to mention you can't be at 34k and not be overweight anyways, as if the truck alone is at 14k by itself it would have no capacity left for the toy hauler pin weight)...
Jaimie says, “It’s Jeep Hero, we should be playing, but we’re working.” Some would argue that your work IS play!
The Morvair is a BEAST
The first pan shot of the stuck rig, my only thought was, “someone made Spaceball One into a camper trailer”…😂😂
1:38 it's like a Mars rover 😂
Wasn't date night because Jamie was making dinner when Matt called her. Matt also called, Rory who wasn't needed but, he showed up with a new rig which is a cut down square body. Nice looking rig Rory. Jamie and Matt in line pulled out the biggest fifth wheel trailer I ever seen . One hit and it walked out. I think the fact that the recovered vehicle was a dully helped. Always good to see Matt and Jamie out together. That's love for you. Missing Ed in the recovery work, I'm guessing his health might be an issue. Unless he is out looking for gold. Stay safe and pull with care team and get Lizzy working a little more.

Perhaps we should call it "Morrmentum?"
One thing I really enjoy about Rory's video content is the inclusion of many different Points-Of-View from the undercarriage and from the front / rear of the top of the boom on his wrecker. Matt could possibly consider doing the same, because as silly as it may sound - it can make the most mundane length of distance traveled in that video clip into something almost 'epic'... Not necessarily going overboard with something like Drone Footage, but a simple mount front / rear of the Banana or MORRVAIR roof, on a short mast for the camera mount? Anyway - Just a suggestion. From a technical standpoint - It's really admirable that even though the Banana and MORRVAIR are custom-lifted to clear tall tires, they are STILL able to effectively transfer torque to the ground. Even though they both LOOK really nice, there's definitely nothing 'Trailer Queen' about either of these vehicles.
