Hi Sim, it's great to see young guys getting into cars and motorsport, and I appreciate you won't want to hear this, but your car is a death trap. Take this as a friendly tip from an old motorsport competitor, Don't build something so it looks ok, or just looks good, build it as if your going to be in a horrific crash one day, that way, when it happens, ( and it will) you'll stand a chance of walking away. Keep up that enthusiasm my friend, I've subscribed .

If you can find an old innertube, Put some everywhere the fuel cell touches metal. Just so in wont rub a hole in your fuel cell

SIM eventually you will have to extend that larger fuel line all the way to the motor.... get rid of the short line on the tank now and get one all the way to the engine bay!!! You may be able to use the old fuel line as a return but I doubt it in the future as well... Be smart now so you don't waste money and have multiple connections under the car (leaks, fires) .... sometimes its a good thing to plan ahead and saves you time, money and the hassle...

push the fuel cell back and make that fuel line go straight down (gravity). I would of put a nice square piece of plywood down over the spare tire hole then mounted it down to that. yes the fuel line needs to be pushed all the way on. good job asking questions your dealing with fuel it needs to be right. cut the fuel line to the correct length with a hacksaw or a cut off wheel and remember zip ties are our friends lol. also you can't have that much fuel line going into your trunk, track rule, make it go straight down

I would paint por 15 inside the trunk then mount your cell it will take care of the rust and look great

can you fill up at pump? or do you need to fill up a gas can to fill up?

I agree with ss396 you should take and cover up that spare tire well with either plywood or a good gauge sheet metal and mount the cell that way run the lines through that plug that's in the spare tire well just drill it out and find some rubber grommets for the lines to run through I just don't like the idea of that fuel-cell being suspended on those L brackets once that thing is loaded with fuel and on the road bouncing around I don't think it's going to be secure enough

You should scoot the gas cell towards the front of the car

Didn't you say your fuel gauge didn't work?? I seen a ground wire hanging down that maybe your problem.
