With that gas tank, does it show on your gas gauge how much gas or you’re just eyeballing it?

I don't have working gauges in the truck because the original cluster shorted out and I haven't ordered a new set yet

I would have installed a filter between the tank and the pump just to be safe…

Since this video I've replaced the pump and it has a filter attached to it

Aren't you supposed to have the pump out by the tank, not up by the engine
