I saw a LV trunk in the window of a shop in downtown Seattle, I asked the store woman if I could see it and surprisingly she took me into the window display and showed me the trunk. The outside was tattered and beat but still in decent shape. She opened the trunk and inside looked like it was made yesterday! FLAWLESS! These are real works of art that stand the test of time!

To everyone who is hating on here, rethink that nearly everything is made by hand and the materials are from best quality. Ask an old man who bought around two or three pairs of shoes in his life, which were made by a cobbler. Those must have been really expensive, but all worth it when you think about the time he has worn them. And now rethink again about how many pairs of machine produced shoes you would buy only because they aren't as expensive as those made by the cobbler. This could be minimum three times more, because of their poor quality. Producing all those products by hand is really hard and takes quite a lot of time, so the price of shoes made by a cobbler or products by Louis Vuitton are entitled. Last thing to say is that everyone can choose on their own to buy handmade products or products made by a machine, so don't judge those who choose the more expensive products or the cheaper ones.

Lovely video, but it is quite sad to see that Louis Vuitton is everywhere nowadays, there is no exclusivity and craftsmanship anymore, it is just like seeing another Louis Vuitton bag. In my eyes, a waste of a beautiful brand with such an amazing history. I rather spend my money on brands like Goyard, who pays a lot of attention to the details, craftsmanship and customer service. Luxury is all about exclusivity, craftsmanship, good service and attention to detail, out of personal experience I can say that Louis Vuitton lacks in all of those categories.

+Jason Maloof the reason why LV is not "exclusive" because it's name brand is more worldwide and has a lower price than the other two of the mother three. Although their quality of their monogram canvases has dropped, their craftsmanship are as top notch as ever. Louis Vuitton still has great service and especially their attention to great detail has been around since the start. Perhaps, you would like to enter the boutiques and buy some pieces from them and have a better look at it.

It is true that LV is not as exclusive as for example, Hermes, where you have to be on a waiting list for over 2 years sometimes to get your hands on one of their bag, specially if you have a very specific one in mind. I feel this is also for their benefit if LV would not be somewhat affordable to then their market would be much smaller. But, I agree that you see LV bags everywhere, but trust me a big number of those are replicas.

“Exclusivity” - a snobs way of saying they don’t want it when the masses can afford it, as it no longer separates them from the masses. You want craftsmanship, pay the same amount of money for a handmade artisan leather brand nobody has ever heard of. If you won’t, you are just wanting to bank on the clout of Louis Vuitton and what you said about craftsmanship isn’t true.

They are pricey, but an investment. Lasts for years, literally decades, and you can always resell! I have a 34 year old trousse, still looks fab.

LV has transformed too much away from the original concept that I am no longer buying. Although being handmade, it has become a brand for the masses. The US and Chinese market has ruined the exclusiveness of LV, and in a desperate attempt to keep it exclusive LVs soolution is a giant price increase every now and then.
